Hm. I guess I kind of forgot, I had a lot of things to do, and nobody reminded me. I would have loved to put Ogar's artwork in there, but sorry, I'm quite forgetful.

Great work thanks Eldo,I love this chapter :
Serpico saving the band with his wind's sword (I like this guy more than Guts) and the kushan emperor showing his impressive electrical powers;
those events will have great consequences  .
That guy won''t give up!!

One of the things that interest me is that from one panel to the next, Guts' face changes expressions, as if his external mask if that of rage... etc, while internally while he is with Shrieke he is worried and often fatalistic which is stark contrast to his outward apparence.

During the early chapters 1-3, he often wore his fatalistic mask but once he was out of the eye site of the girl who swore to grow up to kill Guts, he wept.

I dunno, I just fine that very interesting and it brings a duality about him. Slowly he has become very paternal or even brotherly towards Shrieke.

I still half-expect every character close to Guts to suffer horrible miserable deaths at any moment, but that's just me.
I'm not quite sure how to make out the panels on page 19, specifically the second panel down from the top.
But of course it probably isn't suposed to make much sense.
Otherwise, very good chapter.

Real good chapter...
But hey...
Fighting against lightning... in the water
TOUGH !!!

After 2 pages, couldn't believe they would have any chance to make it alive.

I also never imagined that the armor would be put down...
It gives me the impression there is a new emphasis on magic and fighting strategy versus pure fighting skills ?
:o

Last but not least, Shrieke went back to her body.
Does that mean, the protective armor spirit is down too ?

I've thought for a while that Guts is at the peak of physical fighting especially if he is in control of the armor.

The next level is therefore either improved strategy or magic (or both). Frankly I'm not sure how his strategy can be improved much.

I've been rereading the earlier vols. His attitude to having help in fighting has really changed. v1-3 it was pretty clear he was going to do it all with just his own flesh and blood. In accepting allies, has he realized he's the best any human can become? I can't imagine the Guts in vol 2 would have said in ch273 ("Believe in me ... b/c i believe in you") to anyone. Now it actually seems just fine. In this chapter (274), I think he has realized his allies aren't helpless as witnessed by him being saved by airboy.

Even if Berserk wasn't going to go more into the magical stuff, this change in attitude was necessary. There is only so much one person can do even if he is as great at Guts. If he is going to bring down the godhand, he's going to need an army of followers, I think. He's in the first steps of building it (and he's not even trying!).

I can't wait to see how things work out now. For the first time, I'm actually wondering if Guts will survive the upcoming fight.
