Cable here, sometimes fast and sometimes uber slow due to the amount of people using it in my area.

I'm on a 256kbps external dsl connection. I'll probably upgrade to 512 or more sometime this year but at the moment i'm not home enough.

Shit, if I ever had to go back to 56k.. I wouldn't use the internet.

At home: Cable 666 kb/s (at least the contract says so) but that's not true... to slow for that.

At the campus with a Laptop about 11 Mbs.
With a Campus Pc´s its no longer normal (25Mbs).

I got those readings from windows so i guess there not too reliable. I´ll use an external bandwith tester the next time i get there

I just reinstalled my driver for my modem yesterday, it said 8.00Mbs, and today it says 3.3 Mbs, what it always used to say. strange

I need your internet like a cold beer and i'm hell kean to get blind.
I honestly think I need to upgrade to 512 atleast now. 256kbps just makes me angry. It's so damn slow.. (no offense to all you poor 56k peoples.. I feel for you)
