Part of me wants to berate Capcom for getting fucking lazy and giving up on their fightign games , which have obviously been dumped for more lucrative franchises like DMC and Resident Evil (The last "Capcom" fighter to come out, Basara X, was done by Arc Works and only published by Capcom). Part of me doesn't give a flying fuck as long as it plays well.

It just doesn't seem like it because most of them are spin-offs and upgrades as opposed to numerical increases.

I played this game in Chinatown today.

It's fantastic.

The roster blows but I had a blast in the small time I played it.

It feels like a 2D game through and through.

That's because Ono decided to go with hitboxes instead of whatever collision detection method a 3D engine uses.

So yeah, I was right in that discussion from earlier.

The line to play the game was ridiculous.

I really want the home version now so I can really sink my teeth into the game.

Why, what's wrong with the gameplay? Looks pretty damn cool to me. I can't wait to get my hands on this title. I'm a big fan of the series though.

The new fighting system they added to it made the game look a little bland to me. I did like the finishers though, they looked well rounded. I don't know it could've been the the vid I watched, but it just didn't seem as fun as the others. I guess I'll see when it comes out, I'll rent it to give it the benefit of the doubt, if I like it I'll buy it.

But yeah, every one that I know/people on the internet that have played the damn thing says it kicks ass. So I am definitely picking it up. Just really wish the roster was not Street Fighter II 2.

I didn't use it at all.

Three matches is nowhere near enough time to try shit out and with the rather long wait to play a match I didn't feel like fucking around with stuff I didn't know how to use.

There's a trailer out there that shows the different things you can do with it though.

I didn't see it used often but I did see someone cancel into a dash somehow.

I plan on going there again next week after work.

The line will be less tedious, hopefully.

Sounds more like I was right, about the fact that you can still use 2D hitboxes in a 3D game and make it feel like a 2D fighter. You said that it was impossible.
