Maybe Silas simply won't come to the Kushan's aid. Maybe the BOTH will attack, and then Silas suddenly realizes Griffith is right by him; and instead of attacking, he kneels. Just a thought.

I think I'll also say Adon; I didn't particularly hate him, I just wished he would hurry up and die already. The guy wan't interesting at all.

Well, I think it's amazing how much detail Miura draws in. You can feel how massive the scale of the Kushan army is, the overwhelming numbers and stuff. It struck me as being symbolic of how he's become greater thanks to his pledging allegiance to Griffith. He may have given something up, but he's become stronger for it.

I believe he had blades at his neck, and thought to himself "No sword. . ." He didn't strike a dramatic pose or anything, but he didn't realize he was unarmed until then. I wonder if he himself blamed Guts for his imprisonment.

If the greater the sacrifice, the greater the power. . .is someone considered "sacrificed" once they're branded, or once they're dehd? Is Griffith's power diminished because Guts (and Caska) are still alive?

Huh, I never made that connection. Griffith was captured and imprisoned because he didn't have his sword. . .because Guts broke it. Whaddaya know.
