It may seem like a random noble hunt but there must be all kinds of army commanders and the likes attending that party so they all get wiped out at the same time.
When they're dead who's gonna command the troops and take care of the city's defense? Kushans just come a-rolling down the hill and massacre the entire city.

This release came out of the blue for me too. Just in case somebody missed this interesting note, chapter 258 said that 259 would be released on 7/22. Last I checked, that was today's date. That's how fast Oro and his people do their work.
