This was done by me about a year ago, so some things changed.
Q: whats the difference between the 3 races, and how can you use these to best effect?
A: in defence and military units, i don't know much about troops, buggies, tanks and planes difference but it's all in damage HP and defence
about battleships:
Vailon Battleship: Attack range 6, HP 1250, damage with 1st military skill against 1st millitary skill ~100-135
Human Battleship: Attack range 5, HP 1500, damage with 1st military skill against 1st millitary skill ~120-155
Xion Battleship: Attack range 5, HP 1800, damage with 1st military skill against 1st millitary skill ~145-175
i could be wrong about damage but it should be somwhere in that area.
Also Valions have lower defence then Xion, and Human, like always, are in the middle. so if you are Valion and attacking Xion you'll do minimal damage, and if you are attacking Valion you'll do max damage.
Valions have attack range 6 they are great for destroying turrets and other battleships, cos only other valion battleships and Land-Air weapons can retaliate them.
Xions good for destroying buildings, cos they do the best damage.
Humans are good for destroying buildings that are left after Valions and Xions
So Xions have best HP, defence and Damage, but Valions have range 6
Q: what are the differences between auto turrets and land air weapons?
also are walls useful?
what about the prices? i heard a rumor they increment but have a delay of 500g like your endurance not updating instantly.
A: turrets have more life and better damage and they attack as system, so if someone starts to shoot at your buildings, all turrets that can reach the enemy will attack back
land-air weapons have range of 6 and have 20% chance of shooting down an IPBM (mini nuke that can be sent from other planets), but i don't know if they retaliate as system like turrets, i haven't found a system of LAWs to try it out yet.
walls are good if you want to block someones movement, so if someone wants to get to your base would have to destroy your wall first, so you can see in outpost news that someone attacks you, but if you have enough gc i would recomend building turrets.
about delay thing, demon fixed that, and Turrets, LAWs and Walls go up by 50 gc in price
oh and another thing about turrets.
if you have 1 turret and your ally has one somewhere close to yours, then if enemy shoots at your stuff, your allys turret wont retaliate even if enemy is within the attack range.
Q: Is it only mines that increase in production number as you build more? Or do all other buildings follow taht rule too?
A: Mines, Gas, Harvest, Oil and Strategy buildings folow that rule
Q: Overall what is the best defense you can build?
A: well this question is like asking wich stat you should be training the most...
i'd recomend building turrets in groups near your base... and ofcource best defence is ofence, so build more battleships, place them somwhere on your planet and build some turret near it, then build up your military skill so others would do less damage to you and you would do more damage to them.
But best defence would be building 15x15 with turrets, but that'll cost you like 2 000 000 gc... and fill all the left area with buildings and units, so noone can build even a command center on your planet.
Q: do u have 2 make a CC on a planet before u attack it?
A: yes you do, try making it as far from enemy military force, so they would use more ticks to get there.
Q: should u make buildings close 2gether or spread out?
A: From earlier answer:
But best defence would be building 15x15 with turrets, but that'll cost you like 2 000 000 gc... and fill all the left area with buildings and units, so noone can build even a command center on your planet.
if you want to make such an outpost then build your structures as close as you can. if you don't want to make such outpost then be sure to build all your buildings with nuke protection.
Nukes destroy 3x3 area, so if you want to build your buildings with nuke protection, be sure to make buildings with 2 squares difference
Q: nukes only can nukes the planet the nuke silo is on or anywhere?
A: 3x3 nuke can be launched only on planet where you have a nuke silo. If you don't have a nuke silo on other planet, you can only launch IPBM that destroyes 1 squere on that planet
Q: how are honor points and building prices related?
A: When your honor is positive your buildings cost less, and when honor is negetive buildings cost more, formula: honor/15
Q: is there anyway to make units move diagonally?
A: No
Q: how are the rewards for destroying a building determined?
A: You gain 20% of building main cost
Q: how much damage do nukes/ipbm's inflict?
A: Nukes destroy everything in 3x3 area. and IPBM in 1x1 area.
Nukes can be launched only if you have a nuke silo on the same planet you want to nuke and IPBM can be launched from any other planet.
If you have a building that is half in 3x3 area and half out of it, nuke will destroy that building, but IPBM will leave only half of that building, that would look like this:
Q: if half the building is destroyed does the attack get any money/honor for it? or does the hole thing need to be destroyed
A: well you don't get anything from destroying half of building, no military exp, no honor change and no gc. I don't know if you get anything from nuking stuff, if someone knows pls answer it
Q: can you rebuild the other half the building?
A: no you can't, and you don't realy need to, cos half of building still has all HP and works like a whole one
Q: if you build multiple buildings, i heard the costs go up. so if you build 2 turrets, the 2nd one costs more. if it gets destroyed, how much will a new replacement turret be? will it cost like it was the 2nd one or will it be counted as the 3rd turret?
A: It will cost as much as the 2nd one
Q: If someone attacks you, does your outpost news start to flash or something or do you have to check it all the time?
A: Outpost News will color RED if a building/unit is destroyed....damage is NOT shown, so check regular....
