Berserk roleplaying system

...and no, sadly this isn't an official licensed gaming system, in case that's what you were thinking. As awesome as that would be, this is just fan-made (by me, in fact!).
So here's the thing: I've been developing this system for use with a group of friends, and it ocurred to me that some other Berserk fans out there might also have an interest in it. And since if I remember correctly this forum has a pretty solid core of roleplayers, as well as a sizeable Berserk fanbase (for pretty obvoius reasons), it's the perfect place to find out if the interest is there. If there's enough call for it, I might just set up a website, get all the source material up in .pdf, and torrent it all. Of course if that's the case, I'd need people to help seed as well, so if anyone would be willing to help out there, just let me know. But that's somewhere down the road. Right now I just need to know if people want me to do this or not...
The system isn't completed as of yet: I don't expect to have it playable for maybe a few months, including the time needed to play through it sufficiently with my group to make sure everything works smoothly and there are no serious balancing issues.
If I end up doing this for the masses, I want to do it right. Of course, if I end up just doing it for my own little RP circle, I'll probably not put as much effort into presentation and getting all the little things just right.
SO... what i need to know is: what do you all think of the idea?!

So... in a nutshell you're making a game?

... Think D&D or Rifts or Vampire: The Masquerade. Something like those.

Is this text-based, or is this detailed.

No, no. It's a roleplaying
system, as in a pen & paper RPG. LIke D&D or AD&D or Vampire. It didn't even cross my mind when i used those examples that there are plenty of video games from D&D and vampire as well as the table top stuff...

Sorry about the confusion there.

"I want to be Guts." "No, you don't!"
That will come every time.

This makes absolutely no sense to me.
1. A Berserk MMORPG? Yay, you can be a... peasant, who will be raped and eaten by apostles! Or you can be a noble, who will be beheaded! Or you can be an apostle and automatically kill EVERYTHING, unless the NPC Guts comes along, in which case you die instantly (1 Guts per server).
2. Pointless 3rd person views don't last long? That sentence frustrates me to no end, because I cannot make out what it's supposed to
mean. At all.

1. It's not that bad, could be a pre-eclipse game but then it would be like all the others. Or it will be a terrivle game full of Guts wannabes.
2. Same here.
I wanted to program a necromancer game or something like this in the future and as I mentioned before maybe I'll do a Guts like class, too.

1. It'd be a mercenary based.. thing. That'd give the most freedom as to what the player wants to do. The player itself wouldn't have anything to do with the Berserk story line other then being within the world. He may participate in wars with or against the kingdom of Midland.
At level 40+ he will be able gain a Behelit, and receive the option to become an apostle by sacrificing someone on his friend list

. Average playtime, gear, and experience level of said player will determine how powerful you as an apostle will be.
The victim will not suffer a permenant death like all MMORPG's, but he may incur a day long~ penalty of some kind. Obviously being an apostle is a desired and beneficial effect, however they will immediately become kill on sight because such a transformation is evidence that he did sacrifice someone for his own gain. As an apostle they will be stronger then any "one" foe, but they can easily be overpowered. Though a player can shift between human and apostle, his name will likely be made known to the general public making his life more difficult. On an additional note, he will be banned from all guilds/factions. He can still move freely within the world, but some places and players will not be welcoming.
Wow, that was a lot of crap regurgitated from my head.

Yeah, I know the program. But atm. I have no Idea for a necro storyline and Berserk would be too complex.

er berserk would b 10 times as easy as a necro game believe me.... all i need is a few people that wish to help The Hard part would be to get blood in the game during battles

Which MMORPG has a permanent death feature?
