November is gonna be a bitch of a month...

Post by Femto »

I was just checking out some game release dates, and November has at least 9 PS2 titles that I need to buy on the spot.

Dragon Quest VIII
Genji
Megaman X Collection
MGS3: Subsistence
Okami
Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
Radiata Stories
Resident Evil 4 (no Gamecube Image)
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (this one I'll have to wait and see, not too excited right now)

Of course, that is if these games don't get pushed back a bit. It sucks, because I'll be back in college by then, with no summer job to pay for my addictions. That's not even mentioning Shadow of the Colossus, Soul Calibur III and Devil Kings that come out just a few months earlier. Meh, at least there are no games worth spending my money on until Makai Kingdom and Digital Devil Saga 2 hit shelves around August.

Video games suck.

The last 3-D Castlevania... Lament of Innocence... Really let me down. From the video footage I've seen so far on the new one it doesn't seem very promising.

I'm all over the rest of the titles on that list... except RE4. My fiance has the GC version so I play that one. PS2 version looks like crap, but i'm sure it will still be an awesome game for those who haven't experienced it on Gamecube.

Main one for me is gonna be DQVIII.

I agree with you on Castlevania (I just want to give it a try) and DQVIII (I want to know why those crazy japs are all over this shit), but the one I'm really looking forward to in that list is Okami. It looks like it has some really neat stuff in there.

Subsistence has the original MSX games too, so I'll drop down those 50 bucks just for that.

No point in buying RE4 if its not for Gamecube. The whole point of the game was the gameplay and graphics. Otherwise its not worth it cause it adds nothing to the story.

Gameplay > graphics, and the gameplay is not going to change in the PS2 version. If I had a cube, I would've bought the game back when it was first released but, as it stands, the PS2 version is the only way I have right now to play the game.

I dunno, if I work my ass off, I might get me a cube. It's only 99 bucks right now and it should be even less if I get it used. It's just that there are about 5 great games on it and that's not enough to justify me buying it right now. Still, games like RE4, Metroid Prime and the upcoming Zelda might be enough to change my mind.

We'll see.

EDIT: Holy shit! I just realized that Ikaruga is actually out for the cube! That's it, I'm getting one.

Does this game really come out in November? Crap, add another one to the list.

For once, I wish they'd delay some of these games for a couple of months.

Well isnt that how the companys make money. Dont they lose money for every system but they count on the games to get money. Or am i wrong.

Yup, that's how it's supposed to work. That's why the Microsoft loses money for every X-Box they sell, because the games don't sell enough to make up for it.

Yes it is and it is a perfect port from the DC. Also, Chaos Field for the DC will be released on the GC as well.

halfnhalf, how long have you been gaming, because I think games are cheap compared to the glory days of the SNES. (I still remember my Final Fantasy III or VI being $80 when I got it for my birthday.) Some games come out at $40, hell some at $30. Usually nothing goes over $50.

Oh RE4 and Onimusha is a must for me but i wont like the new onimusha as the old ones cause an onimusha without Samonouske or Jubie is not the ideal.

Buz:

About RE4 the game is not all about the graphics and i would geuss that they have put alot offert into the game since they can earn so much money on it unlike they do in GC.

For me RE4 was just eye candy and a new fun gameplay style. Which is somewhat important to me. However the main reason i play the series that i play is for an addition to the story. Which RE4 lacked.

Hes on a tottaly different level of evil then Light. Seriously this guy is freaky. Kinda reminds me of Gutts. But unlike Gutts he kinda looks for trouble and doesnt let anyone off easy.
