Post your Video Game Collection

Post by Ayanami »

This was a pretty cool idea in the off the wall forum with DVDs, so I thought I would start a thread like it in here.

I am at work right now, but when I get home I will start posting my collection.

Oh man, my SNES collection alone is gonna take a while to list. And jsut as I was looking around, I have noticed that my NES is not where I thought it was... :holycrap: Oh man, I need to find that machine. If my mom sold it or gave it away while I was at school, heads will roll.

Any thing you want. You don't also have to do it in one post. Each post you do can be a seperate system collection. That is what I plan to do, no way I can do all the games I have in one post.

EDIT - Well, since no one has posted yet, I guess I will put my first collection on this edit here.

NES collection is first up. Back in the days of my youth I had an awesome collection of over 50 good games, but then I sold it like a fool to get money for my SNES. :stupid: So now I am just trying to get stuff I used to have and stuff I missed out on with my new collection. Nothing really to brag about but here it is.

The Adventure of Link (Zelda II)
Bionic Commando
Castlevania II Simon's Quest
Golgo 13
Gradius
Kirby's Adventure
Legendary Wings
Life Force
Ninja Gaiden II
Star Tropics
Super Mario 3
Tiger-Heli
Wizards & Warriors

Kirby and Gradius are my favorites of the Bunch.Image

Whoa, I should have mentioned that. Yeah, legit stuff only, I mean, we can all have a ton of non-legit stuff.

Any who, here is my Genesis Collection. I did not have a Genesis growing up, I had a SNES, so I missed out on some great games because stuff is harder to find now. But I think it is decent.

Complete Games
Aladdin
Columns
Cyborg Justice
Ecco the Dolphin
Golden Eye
Golden Eye II
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Street Fighter II Championship Edition
Valis III

Incomple Games
Arrow Flash
Beyond Oasis
Mega Bomberman
Phelios
The Revenge of Shinobi
Rocket Knight Adventures
Vectorman
Vectorman 2

The game for the Genesis that I don't have right now that I need in order to die a happy man is Phantasy Star IV. Any one who has played this one knows what I am talking about. Image

EDIT - By the way Damien, you have a good collection. There are a couple of games you have that I still want to add to my Dreamcast collection.

Oh hell ya, Dreamcast is the realist. When I post my Dreamcast collection you will see how much I enjoyed the system.

But any who, I am gonna keep on trucking because I am tired of studying.

Time for the SNES collection. This was the first system I really got into and was old enough to really find out about the good stuff. This is also when I got introduced to the wonderful world of RPGs. They just don't make em like they used to back in the glory days of my youth......

The 7th Saga
Act Raiser 2
Axelay
Brain Lord
Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire II
Castlevania IV
Castlevania Dracula X
Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Country
EVO
Final Fantasy II (in japan IV)
Final Fantasy III (in japan VI)
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
F-Zero
Gradius III
Illusion of Gaia
Kirby Super Star
Kirby's Dream Course
The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past
Lufia & The Fortress of Doom
Lufia II Rise of the Sinistrals
Mega Man X
Mega Man X 2
Mega Man X 3
Mystical Ninja
Ogre Battle The March of the Black Queen
Pocky & Rocky
Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle (Ranma got me into anime, so I had to get the crappy game :) )
Robotrek
Secret of Evermore
Secret of Mana
StarFox
Super Adventure Island II
Super Mario All Stars
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario World
Super Metroid
Super Punch Out!!
Super R-Type
Tetris Attack
Uniracers

That's em all folks. Boy do I love my SNES. Some of the finest RPGs ever to grace this green Earth and the best puzzle game evar. Tetris Attack.Image

Meh, I usually sell all my stuff whenever a new system comes out. Keep is mind that this was before the days of backward compatibility. My only collection worth mentioning is my PS2 one and I only have a few of those games in my dorm with me (those that are new or worth replaying over and over), so I don't think I'll post that list until I know exactly what I have. It might sound like it's a ton of games, but it's not that many really, it's just that I don't want to miss any of them.

I hear ya Femto, most people sell there stuff and that does make more sense financially, a lot more sense. What can I say, I just like to keep my stuff. After I sold my NES and games, and I really wanted to play Mega Man 2 and 3 (I did not know about emulation or do I think it existed at the time.) and I said, "God Damn it! I am never selling anything again." And thus began the collecting. Any who, it is more about quality than quantity, right?? Image

Word.

Once I post my collection you'll see that it's mostly filled with really good titles, save for a few guilty pleasures of course. I'm very picky with what I buy and if, after finishing a game, I don't think it deserves to be in my collection, I just trade it for another one.

Well, I know you have Gradius V, and that is possibly one of the greatest games evar. :P Image

Any who, I guess I will post my small PSone collection. My younger brother had a PSone while I had a Saturn when growing up, so my collection is real small for this system. My bro has damn near every RPG for the PSone. I on the other hand have a few shooters and RPGs that my bro does not have.

Strider 2
Parasite Eve
Metal Slug X
Legend of Mana
G Darius
Einhander
DDR Konamix (God why do I have this game?? I hate DDR, gonna have to sell this one.)
Castlvania Symphony of the Night (Tie for Best Playstation game evar.)
Tenchu Stealth Assassins
Vagrant Story (Other game that is at tie for Best Playstation game evar.)
Vandal Hearts
Vandal Hearts II
Wipeout 3

OK, since my SNES and collection are right next to me, I'll post them. I had a decent collection to start with, then about 6-7 years ago my cousin got a PS1 and got some games for it and decided he had no further use for his SNES games, fo which he had a LOT. He gave them to me and I was a happy panda. Since both of us had collections, there may be some doubles, and these are NOT in alphabetical order, that would take too long.
  1. Street Fighter II
    Super Castlevania IV
    King of Dragons
    Earthworm Jim (2 copies)
    The Simpsons, Bart's Nightmare
    Final Fantasty Mystic Quest
    Final Fantasy II
    Final Fantasy III
    Taz-Mania
    Gods
    Super Double Dragon
    Wanders from Ys III
    NBA Jam
    Mortal Kombat
    Super Mario World (2 copies)
    NCAA Bastketball
    Jurassic Park (2 copies)
    Thunder Spirits
    Super Return of the Jedi
    Act Raiser
    Super Ghouls and Ghosts
    Out of This World
    Daffy Duck: The Martian Missions
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (2 copies)
    Home Alone
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
    Final Fight
    Secret of Mana
    Killer Instinct
    Donkey Kong Country (2 copies)
    Illusion of Gaia
    Chrono Trigger (Best. RPG. EVAR)
    Breath of Fire II
    Drakkhen
    Super Play Action Football
    Fatal Fury
    Joe and Mac
    Disney's Aladdin (2 copies)
    SimCity
    SimEarth
    Cool Spot
    Prince of Persia
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
    The Lion King
    Clue
    Hook
    Lester The Unlikely
    King Arthur's World
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
There were also some games he didn't give me because they were either too violent for me at my age (MK2, not a big lose on my part), or he just REALLY wanted to keep them (F-Zero and Star Fox I expect), I hope some day I will get these too, a few are classics, some I personally love, and others would be there to add numbers to the collection, they include, but are not limited to:

Mortal Kombat 2
That game with the SNES Bazooka Controller, I forget the name
Sunset Riders (God I loved this game. When Ayanami got an arcade emulator, I bugged him forever to get this )
Star Fox
F-Zero

OK, PS1 and 2 time. I only have a few PS1 games, I never got into it a whole lot.

PS1:
Chrono Chross
Final Fantasy Chronicles
Final Fantasy IX
Gundam Battle Assault

Yeah, that's it. I actually got all those AFTER I had my PS2. I would really liek to pick up Castlevania: Symphony of The Night, FInal Fantasy Tactics, and Metal Gear Solid for PS1. The PS2 stuff is in alphabetical order because that's how I keep them in my house.

PS2:

Capcom FIghting Evolution
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Dance Dance Revolution MAX (And a Dance Pad)
Devil May Cry 2 (I had DMC1, but I lost it  )
Enter The Matrix
Gradius V
Guilty Gear X2
King of Fighters 2000/2001
King Of Fighters: Maximum Impact
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Nightshade
Onimusha: Warlords
Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny
Onimusha 3: Demon Siege
The Simpsons: Hit & Run
Soul Calibur 2
Spider-Man
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Tekken TAG Tournament
Tekken 4
Tekken 5
Twisted Metal: Black
Viewtiful Joe

Not huge, but it grows with leaps and bounds with every birthday/christmas/big game release. I'll be getting quite a few more next month for my birthday, hopefully. So far I have asked for God of War, Devil May Cry 3, King of Fighters 2002/2003, and Taiko Drum Master and possible Shin Megumi Tensei Nocturne

Ok, time for the most beloved of all collections. The Saturn collection. Saturn was ownage. My favorite system of all time.

Albert Odyssey
Astal
Burning Rangers
Command & Conquer
Daytona USA
Dodonpachi
Dragon Force
Galactic Attack
Guardian Heroes
Herc's Adventure
Hexen
Iron Storm
Kingdom Grand Prix
Fighters Megamix
The Legend of Oasis
Madden 98 (God I hate EA, I need to get rid of this. I got it when I was young and stupid.)
Magical Drop III
Magic Knight Rayearth
Mechwarrior 2
Mega Man X 4
Mystaria The Realms of Lore (My only incomplete game for Saturn. )
Nights Into Dreams...
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon II Zwei
Panzer Dragoon Saga
NBA Action 98
Resident Evil (Got this from Block Buster, it has a tendency to freeze.)
Robotica
Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire
Shining Force III
Shining the Holy Ark
Shining Wisdom
Sonic 3D Blast
Soukyugurentai
Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo
Vampire Savior
Virtual On Cyber Troopers

What can I say, there were some classics on this system. Untouchable classics. I am still in progress of getting stuff for this system, japanese stuff. I need a legit copy of Radiant Silvergun to die a happy man. And there are soooooo many superb shooters that never made it here on Saturn. Need to sell more of my magic cards on eBay so I can get the rest of em.
