Stupid Tenjou Tenge Theories

Yeah, that's right, I am making a thread about stupid theories in Tenjou Tenge. And like the Berserk one, nothing is too stupid, or too smart. You think you have a legitimate theory, go for it. I finished reading Chapter 82, and we need to get some more play in this forum, so at the risk of getting flamed, I decided to make this thread. If nothing else, me getting flamed will bring more people here  . Anyway, off to my theory and the start of this whole mess.

OK, we all know about Shin and his wearing of an eye-patch with a swastika on it. For anyone who doesn't know, the swastika isn't just the symbol of the Nazi party, it had been a positive relious symbol for thousands of years (Meaning anything from good luck to long life, etc.). I think that a swastika with the top "arm" facing right is the Nazi symbol while the swastika with the top arm facing left is the religious symbol (Could be the other way around). Anyway, throughout the "flashback" scenes, Shin wears this one the most out of his eyepatches, and you may or may not have noticed, the arms switch from time to time. My dumb theory: The position of the arms could be dependant on his demeanor. Perhaps it changes to the right, the "evil" side when he is using the Dragon Eye or just being bad, nasty and evil, while the arms change to the left when he is good, nice, or sincere (Like when he is with Maya). Or it could be that the artist just didn't notice, and was too lazy to change it. Anyway...

Discuss!

for some reason i think the story writer just like to come up with bogus and complete random moves for TT. Its kind of like the whole spawn comic, it was cool, then they just started to pull the shit out their ass, but thats not to say TT is shit.

Well, sometimes you just gotta keep your techniques a secret, even from someone with a third person perspective, like the reader! I loved seeing Mitsuomi hammer that Innue chick. She was so cocky, thinking her mindcontrol was the shit, then Mitsuomi just blasts her in the face. Bitch got what she had coming to her.

I don't know about the whole symbol thing on Shin's eye patch, so I am not going to comment. But hey Tempest, just to let you know, it would be helpful to post a pic of your examples or state page numbers so we don't have to blindly go through our collections to find what the hell you are talking about.

And here is my stupid theory........

Bob will end up joining Mitsuomi and his gang. At least it seems that way right now.

Shazaam.

Both were taken from Chapter 40. The first one was about half-way through, and the bottom was near the end of the chapter.

That the same page??

Looks like just a mistake there. Can't really tell if he is in a "good" mood or not.

It's not the same page, I just edited them together to better juxtapose them better.

Sorry to be a bother, but can you find a better representation of him in a "good" mood or "bad" mood?

Just trying to get some evidence for the theory.

Better yet, I am going to do some digging around.

Well I guess that make the theory a little null and void considering he is pretty damn evil there and the arms are to the left in it.

My theory wasn't about the specific way, just that the direction could be an indicator. So this may mean that left=evil and right=good. I don't know, I'll be looking durign some free time for a "good" pic with the arms the the right.

To me, it seems that that cannot be a mistake on the part of the artist. Just like I was taught in high school that no authors do things on accident, I believe that no artist does something without a purpose.

interesting and yeah I've noticed the symbol in many kung-fu movies. XD

I think Maya and Mitsumi die at the end. :( My poor maya.

I think Aya dies for no reason at all. but my hate is never prosecuted.....fuck.

Well, if Aya wasn't such a bitch and gave it up to Masataka, a guy who ACTUALLY wants her, then she would be better in my book. Poor Masataka..... everybody gets some play except for him. Even "Asshat" gets more action.

What can ya say, Asshat was able to turn his life around and become quite the player.

Yeah, I feel sorry for Masataka that the only girl with the hots for him is in middle school. Maybe Asshat can give him some of his heiram for a day.

It's really weird that shin had that mark on his eyepatch since it's representing a) life b) motion/ movement c) hapiness d) luck

When I read this serie at first I also thought about why it was like that, that the arms were moved to different spots etc. I don't think it's a mistake ah well..

Shin was a sick tard anyway.

Well I believe she's in her last year of middle school I'm not sure and since Japanese HS is only 3 years...they are only 2 years apart.

i believe that mitsuomi has been protecting mastaka this entire time cuz he knows that hes the true warrior, and if its to protect his little brother, then he'll bare the burden. i also believe bunshichi will join the jyuukenbu, if not for sedimental reasons, then to fill the gap when bob leaves.....

If mastaka is a true warrior, then i believe that he will follow the same path of his brother. Well, just my personal feelings.
And Bob joining enforcer, well its very sad. If that really happens, then i'll look foward for the fight of exorcist boy vs capoera master :)
