New Zelda trailer!
This trailer was released last week. Here's the link if you havent already seen it.

The game looks so damn good! Link riding on the boar reminded me of Mononoke Hime. In fact, i think they stole the boar design directly from Mononoke Hime. Either way, i can't wait for this game's release at the end of this year.

I don't really care for zelda anymore seriuously. Chances are I pick it up anyway because it's supposed to come with windwaker(not that I like that game) with the new graphics if you reserve. Maybe because I've grown tired of miyamoto's games and rather just play ones I have never experienced before. Sad really but I don't care for his games anymore.

Heh, Wind Waker came with an Ocarina of Time/Masters Quest bonus disc and now the next one may come with an updated version of Wind Waker.
AWESOME!
I love my Masters Quest bonus disc. I just got around to beating it a few days ago. Some of the puzzles were 10 times harder than the ones in Ocarina of Time ... which suceeded in pissing me off. I had to scan every square inch of one dungeon like 3 times b4 i figured it out .... still love it though ....

Zelda is definitely one of the few game series that doesnt really disappoint gamers. It's more or less consistenly good.
This new game is supposed to have Link express himself in a way that he hasnt expressed himself in other games (somethin like that). Not exactly sure what they mean but it's sure to be a cool feature. Maybe there will actually be extensive voice acting for the characters or cool heroic type CG cut scenes, which were never present in previous games.
Oh the possibilities.

LOZ dropped down a notch in my ranking with Majora's Mask and the damn Paper-Link in the new games destroyed it for me completely!
I don't think I'll be playing the series' new games so I'll stick with A Link To The Past - the best Zelda game ever!

On March 2006 Ajattara strikes back... damn... still 4 months

You can't write off a game cuz it looks like "paper". Wind Waker is a really good game. Cel-shading is a cool way of making games when it's used correctly. It gives a very stylish look to the game which makes it stand out from the normal and sometimes bland 3D graphics that many games have. One would think that a person who likes Link to the Past would understand that graphics dont make the game good. It's the gameplay and style that its done in, utilizing what they have to work with that counts. If you're problem is with the "paper" version of Link, then the new game is in 3D.
I remember Majora's Mask being right ABOVE Ocarina of Time on EGM's top 100 list (they were both in the top ten somewhere). I havent actually beaten it but it's supposed to be a good game.
Just cuz a couple of games are possibly bad doesnt mean the next installment in the series is gonna be bad .... they all have different styles that set them apart from each other.

You're absolutley right, as long as you ignore the fact that every gaming site/magazine gave both of those games very high reviews (and reader ratings are equally as high) .... Wind Waker was a beautiful game even if it's gameplay wasn't all that different from previous games. Not sure how you can call it "horrid". You can say that it's not up to par with Ocarina of Time but "horrid" is way too strong of a word.Malvado wrote:Wind Waker was horrid, and I was looking forward to it. Majora's Mask was pretty bad too but it had the Fierce Diety to make up for the trouble. What did wind waker have? A boat and lots of water I had to slave across.

That's not saying much just look at the high scores on Final Fantasy X-2.....now who do I have to kill?BasouKazuma wrote: You're absolutley right, as long as you ignore the fact that every gaming site/magazine gave both of those games very high reviews (and reader ratings are equally as high) .... I never played FFX-2 but that's different. I can imagine that it appealed to a bunch of horny teen boy gamers. Either way FFX-2 doesn't have consistently high reviews cuz there are people that understand its flaws as a game. Now compare that to Wind Waker and you see that the vast majority agree that it was a good game and a hand full of people think that it was horrible.
