I haven't actually been able to read this but i did see an episode or two, but I've seen enough to realize that it reminds me of a hybrid anime made up of berserk and chobits elements. Quite the contrast, i must say. but other than that i have nothing else to contribute i guess.

You should check out the anime, I enjoyed it for teh most part. I'm gonna start reading teh manga tomorrow

Heh, sadly the manga isn't all that interesting so far.

Story-wise it's almost "literally" the same as the anime too, with minor differences (some scenes are more perverted a little I guess though ;p).

However, it'll prolly be getting interesting when it goes past the anime ;) But I believe that won't be till volume 5 or so (there's 87 chapters out right now, and it's still on-going)

I didn't really bother checking the raws but considering how ch84+ (maybe earlier, not sure) got released _after_ the anime was finished, it's kinda impossible that it doesn't (or at least -- it gets a different development..)

ch87 was released earlier this month ;)

~vol5 (maybe 6) was only my assumption by looking at the cover page though, for where it goes past. (There's 9+ volumes)

Eitherway, will prolly take a while for us to catch up. Unless we get extra translators to work on more volumes at once.

the anime was quite the let down... the first episode and the opening song enthralled me when i first saw them (like when i saw the invisible hand covered in blood open the door... that was slick) i thought it was gonna be an anime with magic and demons and all sorts of other ungodly things but unfortunately it just turned into pure unadulterated SHITE... invisible "arms"? come the FUCK on.... evolution and anime just dont seem to mix right to me
also, i the split personality angle doesnt cut it in anime, especially when on personality is retarded

i read the first page of the manga and then skimmed through the rest of the pages and i deleted it... looks like it was drawn by an amatuer... i usually like to see how the author's character designs evolve over time, like berserk, but i just saw no promise in this work... it was a waste of time to watch and a big let down

to sum it up, if you like watch gore and stuff (i know i do) then watch it only for that but dont expect anything in terms of "enlightenment"

I've read all the released chapters and I warmed up to it very quickly... to the pont where I am hanging for new chapters ^^;;

Well I actually just finished editing a chapter of Elfen Lied for Oro, and this was my first chapter!

So yea I'm on spring break, friends all work full time so it's all dull for me, so it's 3:30 and I'm browsing through these forums lol.

Yea I noticed this board doesn't get much love. I suppose Elfen Lied fans don't know where to go to discuss it. Plus the manga, the latest chapter that I edited, was still behind the anime... so I'm guessing fans of the series just want to see more of where the anime takes off.

Oh also I wrote a Elfen Lied review a few weeks ago.

I only gave it a 3 out of 5 but that's mostly because I'm trying to review harder (not everything can be 4 or 5 out of 5 heh). If you read it, let me hear your thoughts/opinions.

I'm looking forward to the manga. I'm not sure if I'll ever edit again, maybe on a whim like if Oro asks if there are any editors available in the chan (like this previous time lol), but the chapter I did was rather annoying. I edit Hajime no Ippo, and the fight chapters have ton of redrawings... and my first Elfen chapter I did had a few big annoying ones. Then I get bored and download the previous chapter of the one I was working on and there wasn't a single redrawing! OMG bad luck? Either way not a pleasant experience
