All that refreshing payed off. Anyway, we finally get to see Irvine's apostle form, and I wasn't expecting that the humans would actually fight. But basically the expected happened, and when Griffith wins, his immediate kingdom should be secure because of their loyalty.

So, the foretold chapter 300 of myth and legend is finally released!

The absence of King Leonidas is a little disappointing though. T_T

Irvine's apostle form is awesome.

Thanks for this EG.

And the fact that we're continuing with the 2 week release dates is also a nice change.
Sorceress of the Hawk? Stupid Bitch would have been a more appropriate title.

Got a little excited, if only for a moment, thinking Sonia was actually going to "bite the big one" in that chapter.

As far as the chapter as a whole, was disappointed in that it really didn't move the story forward all that much aside from establishing the human's acceptance toward's fighting alongside a demon horde. Being Berserk's 300th chapter, was hoping Miura would have had done something special to make the chapter stand out more. Though I found the quality and detail of the illustration top notch to say the least.
Yeah, I was expecting a lot more from the 300th chapter myself, but I guess it's just a number to Miura and not a special occasion. Oh well, at least we got to see Irvine's apostle form.

Irvine's demon form is pretty cool! Even cooler than that is a fourth chapter coming on December 12!

Thanks a bunch, EG, this was a great chapter.

It's been a really long time since I said this, and for that I apologize (life's been getting in the way horrendously, but that's no excuse): Thanks EG!

I'm also slightly ashamed of this, but when I was reading Sonia's "This is the Band of the Hawk!" line, I heard it in distinctly 300 style, i.e., "This is. The Band. OF. THE. HAWK!"

Sigh. Action movies have warped my brain.

Incidentally, while I liked Irvine's Apostle form, I have to say that I thought Guts' Beast had joined the battlefield at first glance. There are some very obvious differences between the two creatures to be sure, but the overall look of the two are very similar. It's not a knock on Miura's design at all, just notable. To me, at least.

Also, I find it both amusing and refreshing that it takes dozens (well-?)trained soldiers with different subspecialties to stand a chance against something that Guts (without mystical enhancement) could take down by himself. Having seen Guts prevail against insane odds, and with progressive ease, has cut down the sense of menace that "average" Apostles/demons/monsters had in early volumes. It's nice to see a reaffirmation of just how dangerous and formidable these things are, that they're not disproportionately dangerous only to women, children, the ignorant, and the infirm.

Thanks EG, you guys rock.

This chapter was pretty good, but I still couldn't help but wonder: What the hell were those cavalry unit charges for?
I mean, it was pretty obvious that they were doing, at most, superficial damage to the Ganishkalings (yep, that's their name. its not "Ganishka's spawn", that just sounds silly. I know because I am a psiquic ). 8)

It just doesn't make any sense. Why send light cavalry against big ass monsters like those? Its not like they needed to be kept confused so the infantry could approach, they had just been shot by goddamn cannon balls, with a volley of bolts to top it.
May be Griffith wanted them to feel useful?

PD: Starnum, whats up with that new avatar? Vegeta? Seriously? I thought you were better than that.

Don't you know? DBZ has come full circle. The backlash against it finally wore itself out, now it's cool again. (-:

THanks a bunch guys. I just got back from a 14 hour car ride and feel like total shit. I agree with prince that the sonic chick is a bitch. Hope she gets it worse than caska and guts combined. With so many characters now its going to take another 20+ years for this manga. This made my day though, now excuse me while I catch up on some sleep.
