D.Gray-man: Hot or Not? You be the judge.
(Personally I think it's the hotness.)
Discuss.

It's pretty cool, I heard a lot of people says that it's a rip off, but I still don't know of what. After all you could argue that every serie is a rip-off of something.
The story has more than enough novelties to make it enjoyable, even now. Cools stuffs are coming with the "Fourteenth". The art is good, but I liked it better at the beginning, now it's pretty messy and hard to tell what is going on.

Yeah, I agree. I think it's got plenty of originality. Just because it fits in a genre, doesn't mean its a rip-off. Besides, people just want to compare everything to something else.
I think its fresh and interesting, yet still has the kind of themes I like to see and read about.
I thought Allen's anti-akuma weapon evolution into Crown Clown, and his new greatsword, are pretty awesome. I also can't wait to see what happens next, with him being under surveillance now and everything. Also, Linalee's innocence may be evolving into a parasitic type, that's pretty crazy too.
I forgot about all of that (even though yeah it's cool stuff, Lenalee might get under supervision too), I'm just looking forward to that creepy looking fourteenth right now, and the whole Noah family history.
Did I miss it somewhere, or is it explained sometime what the Earl is, and where it comes from? Aside the fact from it manufactures Akuma? I kinda lost track of his goal. That guy must be one of the most funny-looking evil character ever.
Edit: it's an edit galore, look away children, my spelling sucks.

Nah, I don't know much about the Earl either, so I doubt its been explained. I think he wants to kill all humans though, of course, or something like that. *shrugs*

By the way, what manga is D.Gray-man supposed to be a rip-off of anyway? There is a similar art-style between D.Gray and Full Metal Alchemist, but that's about it.
I'd have to agree that Allen's evolution the the Crown Clown was pretty friggin' awesome. I was expecting something cliche' like a giant gun or sword; this was much more practical and unexpected. It also fits well with the Yin-Yang relationship he and the Earl share. Not to say the sword he got later is lame, just that if he materialized the sword instead of the Crown; I think I would've been disappointed. It's meaning would have been lost on us as well.
Actually it did evolved into a big sword, same as Earl's.
D-Gray Man has very little in common with FMA, especially not the art.

Yeah, I love the Clown Crown evolution, including the badass sword. I don't think this series is a rip-off of anything either.

I don't mean a blatant similarity, but a few facial quirks and gestures along the way that reminded me of FMA.

Yeah i like it, though I haven't had a chance to read in ages. I think the last chapter I read was a year ago. I cant even remember what was going on I think it was some hitler dude and the gang.

More or less. Chapters are coming at a snail's pace, but they're still good. Level four seems ridiculous.

I just started reading again and I got a question. Do you think leenalee is stronger than Allen?
My lame editing skills at work trying to improve but this is all I got

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Uh...what? Marshall Cross is a dude... Why does it say "woman"?
Is lenalee stronger than Allen?
Maybe, but prolly not. She might be the heart, that would potential make her stronger. However, if she's not the heart, then I'm pretty sure Allen is stronger. They've already said he's on the same level as a Marshall at this point, and keep in mind the crazy shit we've seen his innocence do. As far as the heart goes, it could be him or Lenalee, or maybe just someone we haven't met yet.
Ah, well that's cool. I thought it might be a joke, but I wasn't sure. In that case, well done.

Well these last two chapters are pure comedy relieve, but the story is still advancing even now. That's the main thing I like about D. gray man, it provides story whenever it can.
Finally Crowley's awake I was wondering when that was going to happen. You think the virus got to him any, I think it hasen't, because Allen's not effected and such. May be the Parasitic type coming into action.
I'm just a little confused by this whole Komuvitimen D Virus business, but it's kind of funny. Allen seemed like it was affecting him, but he was resisting it. Was Crowley the source maybe? I don't know, heh.

Uh, not really...but close enough I guess. This is pretty crazy, should play out well for good plot. What's he going to do? This should be interesting.
