As usual, many, MANY thanks to the EG crew. Excelent release, as always. Now, onto the chapter...

A bit too little for the time it took to be released, but was cool anyway. I'm not entirely sure I like this Farnese-mage thing, but let's see how Miura drive this.

And as always, I love Puck.

i think its interesting that so far conrad, slan, and now void have appeared in the human realm in different forms (slan obviously as troll intestines, conrad created the plague and appeared as rats, and void appears in a column of fire and thunder [perhaps caused it?])

so void and conrad have aided griffith (plague made the king ill, and caused confusion amongst the public, and if void DID have a hand in the fire at vitranis then it would have paved a way for griffiths army) but ubik still hasnt appeard and slan just couldnt give a shit about griffith (she's a guts kinda girl [excuse the pun])

i wonder how griffith controlling the human world will aid the other godhand members?

I feel compelled to say something about the artwork in this chapter. In general, it was nothing short of outstanding (as always), but the ship on the second/third page had me staring for, like, half an hour. I can only imagine how long it would take to get that image of depth and detail.

What's not to like? People complain that Farnese is a liability to the band, but at least she's trying to make something of herself. I was glad to see her making progress, and she's only going to improve once we hit Elfhelm. The problem will be if she gets a little headstrong/overconfident in her abilites, especially during battle because her primary job is to look after Caska. Though soon, she won't have to worry about that (hopefully).

The art in this chapter is fucking gorgeous as usual, like EnglishJim said, the 2 page drawing of the ship was amazingly done.

Unlike most people around here, i like Farnese, sure she´s not the most likable of them all but i like how her character developed to this point, she´s not as bad as she made herself to be in the beginning, she just needs good company.

There´s also the issue in how will she react when Caska and Guts get together again, i look forward to that.

286 was great - as usual - even though those D&D fans who were commenting on the preview were right - it was all about leveling up .

great, now i feel like a complete prick, lets be honest though, its DOES look like voids shape in that panel...and it has been over half a year since ive read those chapters...

Is it just me or does it look like Gutts got his arm back on the last page or did they just bandage up his metal arm?

His arms bandaged, the bandage lines just blend in with the muscle lines well is all. Loved the artwork in this chapter its just too bad we gotta wait so long for it as the story becomes hard to remember after such long periods of breaks... not really for me tho =P. I'd also have to agree this is the lvling up chapter alright, bout time Farnese got a few lvls higher in mage she was so low before people were starting to get annoyed by her being useless. That multiclassing exp penalty had to be a pain for her.
