Below is a screen shot of some dumbass who hotlinked (links to image) from my server.

The image was normal_fanart_ogar555.gif , which means this lazy SOB was ripping of Ogar too! RETALIATION!

I am presently trying to talk Psi into letting me build a generalized solution to this problem that will do this sort of replacement on all hotlinked images say.... 10% of the time.

right, so to prevent further hotlink, i made a few adjustments that basically turns all hotlinked images into tubgirl. You can see the results below:

That remains my favorite episode to this day.

I remember someone on another forum putting a GIF as his signature who had the same retaliation from the owner. Normally the GIF was a story with the Lord Of The Rings characters and it started with "One cannot simply walk into Mordor...", but when the owner changed it, the text said something like "One cannot simply walk into Mordor... Or steal 150MB of bandwidth from our server" then it changed into the same tube girl you used.

It really is a great way to show your anger, but in case you feel that picture doesn't cut it anymore, I suggest using lemonparty (not safe for work, the weak of heart or pregnant women).

God, my friends and I kept trying to hotlink each other to that page for a month or so. One time one of the more tech savy guys had about 5 free minutes on another's computer and locked that as his homepage. Now we all locked our hoempages for good and check every link we send one another. The best ones though were at my buddiy's college when he sent it to his suitemate and heard the music followed by a loud "OH GODDAMNIT!" from the next room.

Yeah one time I unwittingly posted an [img] tag instead of a link to Something Awful a very long time ago, and it showed up fine for a second so I left it. Then my friend AIMs me 10 minutes later like "WTF why'd you post a picture of a tranny."

It would've been gold though if he was posting on some kind of site that minors and sensitive bunches of people visit.
