Dear Lord. I know I've said this before but honestly I'm at the point of strait destroying my computer. It happened about a week or so ago. Randomly while using the internet I would get an error report..

Image

I downloaded Firefox 2.0 in hopes of fixing the problem. I only get it more often now. It most typically happens when watching a video. A lot of the times after the internet closes I get one of these.

For the love of God someone please help me.

You might have to reinstall Shockwave Flash, or run some virus scans just in case. Seems like you're having trouble with Flash. Have you tried to run the same videos and the same sites with Internet Explorer? That would verify whether it's Firefox's error, or just Flash itself.

I've tried reinstalling flash. I'll give explorer a go with it.

you suck at computers, seriously.

uninstall your firefox, uninstall flash, kick your siblings and parents in the face for sucking at computer too, stop visiting shemale porn websites, install firefox, then install flash, and finally bow down to your master, me.

also download, the latest updates on windows media player, quicktime, and the newest divx codecs or any video codec.

I think he said he's done that, and it's still not working.

Another question, do you only get the error message while watching the videos on youtube? Youtube videos are flv files, kind of Flash, so if you're only getting errors from youtube but fine everywhere else where there are other video formats besides flv, it's most probably the Flash plugin's fault.

Firefox isn't the problem, it is the flash component. If it tanks, it takes firefox (and IE) with it.

If you take out flash, things should be normal. The real problem is that I don't see you with a proper virus scanner, for windows that is russian rollete. Go get AVAST, it should be free and catches things that mcaffee and norton do not.

Also run Spybot S&D and Ad-aware. While your at it, use ccleaner (crapcleaner). That should get you back on your game.

After all is said and done, then re-install flash.

I get the same problem, and have tried all the suggested solutions. I'd wipe my hard-drive and start over again, except I don't have the requisite back-ups yet (and won't for another month or so - blech). Any other suggestions?

I should add that this is a new computer, and everything ran fine on my old computer, which had pretty much the same set-up (it had iTunes instead of WinAmp, that's pretty much the only major difference).

You have two choices:
1) get a mac
2) install a Linux distro or freeBSD

That will solve the problems you are having.

Its nothing to worry about. Thats a common handling error of XP. This problem should be resolved with Visa. I get this error evey once and a while using explorer, dun sweat it.

You shouldn't receive the error period. If it could be fixed, it should be in a patch. Having to pay another chunk of money for a 'patch' is something to sweat about because it is down right abusive to the customer. Why do you let MS get away with murder and come back for more?

Get Linux, use wine. Buy a Wii/ps/xbox for your games.

Openoffice does everything MS Office can, better and faster than MS's latest and greatest.

Macromedia's products work under Wine. Flash works great in Linux natively. gAIM is great for IM (all of them). Picasa runs on Linux, plug in my camera and download my pictures.

If it is good enough for my workstation (yes, at work, salary) then it is good enough for me at home.

If Linux is too scary, get a Mac. Just as powerful as Linux, but stuff plugs in and works better.

Or, you can use Windows and forever be beholden to 3rd party drivers that sucks ass and causes crashes and buggy software from MS itself and you have to pay for it, each and every single time.

If you pirate it, that is your own damn problem and you shouldn't complain... at all.

I love AVAST. It was first introduced to me a couple of years ago or so when my last crapass comp was exhibiting some 'suspicious' behavior. I had Norton or McAfee at the time so I didn't really understand why it'd make a difference. After installing & running it, AVAST caught 3 viruses w/in 15 seconds of scanning. Keep in mind, I'd run my 'Big Name' scanner numerous times (yes it was updated -_-) & it never found a thing. In total 8 bugs were caught (mostly worms, trojans etc) & Ad-Aware caught the leftover trash. Things worked MUCH better after that.

Needless to say, AVAST & I became good friends. Recently reinstalled it (I'm on a different crapass machine now) due to similar issues & it once again caught some uglies. How funny it is that the freebie is better than the expensive prog' hah...Psi suggested Spybot & Firefox & they've also helped substantially. IE is just shit. period.
