What happens after the evalution days are over, cant i use irc anymore then?

yah you can still keep on using it, just sometimes they ask you to register (pay money).

irc is free, are you referring to mIRC, as that is a program and NOT to be confused with irc.
IRC == Protocol used for communication, a set of rules. Not a program itself.
There are plunty of free irc programs out there like X-Chat that won't nag you like mIRC will.

I prefer chatzilla from mozilla.org (part of the mozilla suite)

does chatzilla still support downloads off irc? I've been looking into, but i got some much like auto join and scripts, that i wonder if chatzill ais worth it...

halfnhalf: not sure about chatzilla, but i don't see why not. go search on google for the site, I don't have it handy. probably over at mozilla.org. I know for sure that x-chat does support it though, since I use it.

x-chat looks pretty good, but blah im fine with the mIRC that i have now.

Thanks for the links right now i gonna keep mirc but if they nag everytime i logg in they are out...
