*sigh* Here I go. This is honestly the one thing about FireFox that pisses me the fuck off.

So what happened was that randomly Firefox stops working. I exit the windows to restart it. When I try to restart Firefox the profile manager comes up.

This is when I panic. Cause this has happened before and it honestly took me forever to fix( I dont even remember how I did it). So I try to double click on my Proflie which is the one labeled "Normal". This is what comes up

So now I'm reduced to using this shitty default fucking profile that has none of my bloody fucking bookmarks. Pardon my french but this this fucking piece of shit is on the point of giving me a break down. Please anyone that can help me do so. I beg you, and I would be in your debt.

ctrl+alt+del and look for the firefox.exe in the processes and close it.

after that you should be able open firefox again under the the profile you want.

I had that problem a lot.
If you ever get into the wrong profile and need to go back, follow these instructions
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager

To prevent that crap, never select a differant profile than default. Like the other guy said, go to the task manager and shut down firefox for good and it won't ask you to switch profiles.
