gutts raises his sword. the opportunity is open now. grunbeld dead. zodd dead. the new BoH dead. griffith is now wide open for attack. gutts swings, he is just 2 inches away from accomplishing what he has struggled so much for.

everything goes black

as gutts opens his eye, he sees in front of him femto raping caska. apostles are everywhere. he feels an excruciating pain in his head and left eye. he looks up to see a claw clenching down on his head and gauging out his left eye. he thinks to himself "it was all a fucking dream. there is no skull knight. there is no chance for vengeance. there is no escaping the eclipse...."
Such an epic story of struggle and hope coming to an end like that... it would be the most depressing ending ever...
Yes, more than Eva...

yea that would be trippy. But all in all i think it would be a good ending because it would leave you with like "ahh fuck."

A lot of things. Primarily the end of the world, but mostly the fact that Shinji never stood up for himself. The whole series is depressing but, again, not necessarily bad.

Yeah, the world ended, but everyone underwent Instrumentality, which is a wonderful thing. Death isn't the end; it's just a change. ;)

Wow thanks, *makes another mark on the list of things people ruined for me, goes right up there with troy, gladiator, and training day*

Well, that's kind of your own fault silly. You should've stopped reading after about:

DAMMIT!! I'm so sorry man!! I swear I thought of putting a spoiler warning in my post, but assumed that everybody had seen Eva by now. You don't know just how sorry I am, I know how it sucks to have some inconsiderate idiot spoil a good series for you. My deepest apologies.

Ah well, he'll live. Besides, you can't possibly ruin Instrumentality for someone. That's just something you've got to see for yourself. You should really watch it Buz.

That's true, but still... It sucks to have something spoiled... I still remember when I spoiled the Berserk TV series by myself. I started reading an anime catalog book or something like that, that had too many details about the story. I have been cursing at myself ever since.

Yeah, I did the same thing myself. You know Wolfwood from Trigun? Yeah, I read about what happens to him on accident...kind of sucked.

I was reading some people's opinions about Berserk anime before I started watching it, and one had "Don't watch! Casca gets raped by Griffith and Guts loses an eye and an arm!" I didn't really mind about Gats losing his stuff, but telling me Casca gets fucked....?

I'm sure everybody has a history with spoilers. Heck, I have a friend who changes his MSN nick every time he sees a big movie to spoil stuff for whoever is online. And he is ALWAYS online.

I've learned my lesson. I try to ban myself from forums or guides or reviews of anything that I know is going to have a good story. I succeded with Metal Gear Solid 3, and I'm hoping to succeed with Xenosaga Ep. II.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Xenosaga episode II. It's going to be cool! I just hope they've improved the combat system.

I heard people in Japan were dissapointed with the game, but we'll see.

Ah man, not another disappointment. That would suck. Especially so soon after the big let down that was Suikoden IV.

sorry, i was looking at a front face pic of gutts at the time, so i mistook left from right, forgot that my left is actually his right.

*dos lowers his head in shame

Actually, I heard that in the manga, he lives. *Shrugs* Not sure if that's true or not though.

Manga is based on the anime instead of the other way around. And from what I read of it (I admit I havent' read it in quite a while however) it takes place within the anime time as extra adventures by the bebop crew, so spike still dies.

Well the manga for this series came after the anime, so they probably just wanted him to live so they could make more stories and make more money. Stories tend to end with the lives of the main characters.
