Don't freak out, I've uploaded a banner that Laik has made to see what it looks like. What do you guys think?

Laik and I want to hold a poll (contest really). Make a lot of banners, and then vote on them.

If we like all of 'em, then perhaps I can rotate 1 per day. Anywho it is up in the air right now however, feedback from you all would be great.

Hell, if you think you can come up with a better banner, submit it!

Try to keep the same size ratio, 80 in height, 800 in width.

I agree that a poll would be nice to have, and I would also love to see the banners that you guys could make.

I can't remember what the old one looked like for some reason, but this one feels much cleaner.

The old banner was Skull Knight and it was kind of green. Remember? It had Evil Genius on it.

I think it be a good idea to have a couple really nice banners and have them like rotate diffrent to diffrent onez.

i got into a mood to make a banner too... though I think i could use a better font.

What do you all think?

I mean like, every time you vist the forum it would be a random banner each time.

Quest, I like them... but any way you can get them to match the forum. I want it to flow with the forum, not detract from it.

BTW, anyone have any wicked fonts I could use instead of the carboncopy one I used.


Well I can't randomize it to much. I'm thinking we pick the top 7, and rotate one per day (1-7), or top 4, one per week.

Or if there is one specifically we all like clearly above the rest, then that becomes are defacto banner.

Remember, try to keep standard to the forum layout and colors.

if you could tell us what kind of fonts, what specific colour scheme or what kind of pictures you want, then i could bring the banners closer to what you want.

you have to define the 'feel'.

look around you, more specifically at the forum. What feels right, what flows with the forum and doesn't look out of place.

the one i made isn't top quality... that is why we want to evolve this and get everyone contributing. We pick those that match this forum's 'attitude'.

Hey Psi, what is the font used in your sig? I like it. Is it some kind of "blood-dripping" font or you just superimposed mindwers with an element of the background?

I used a font, then used photoshop wizardry to rotate and had it bulge a bit in the center. I'll look around the font when I get home.

Take your time, no rush here...but yeah thanks, I really like that font. I got some similar things but nothing close to this sexyness.
