DVD News and Release Thread!
Posted: Thu Feb 02, 2006 4:28 am
by Femto
Instead of starting a new thread for every DVD release news out there, I figure it's a good idea to try to create a single that can be bumped whenever somebody has a good DVD release or news of a release (US or otherwise) they'd like to let everybody know.
Without further ado, the reason why I created this thread:
The Tick is coming in '06!
I've been watching this show on Toon Disney for a while now and it's just so good. I just cannot wait for this set to be released, the show is just absolutely hilarious.
Also, I think The Corpse Bride was released this week and Advent Children is still slated for a release in '06 here in the States according to
Gamespot.

Good thinking Femto. I thought the Tick was good, but I didn't think it was the best thing since sliced bread. But as ya do.
I have just been picking up MASH and I got House season 1 a while ago.

If you havent already, pick up the Sin City Recut, Extended, and Unrated version. worth all the bonus crap. ahh the DVD age, where it gives you more reason to pay more than 30 bucks for a damn movie.

Seconded.
The "Re-cut" aspect of it is a little bit of a stretch (they only added a single scene to each story + new titles and credits for them), but it's more than worth the money.
The green screen feature is really interesting to watch as well.

Or how he used to hate Hollywood for butchering his screenplays for movies.

well shit, i figured you were full-of-it because the last i heard they weren't able to maintain a stable blue laser unless it was beamed through water. but after a little
researchi see otherwise. even though it will probably be a few years before anything for regular consumers, that is still pretty kick ass.

Not for me, regular Dvd looks so-so on my HDTV.
Do you own a HD-TV, I BET not so how would you know if HDTV is bull? It stretches across my 51'' inch tv and the picture doesn't look as good as it SHOULD, if it was in HD it would tho.

I was under the impression that the PS3 was going to be bluray and play bluray movies.
I hear it also makes great smoothies.

Chuck Norris doesn't roundhouse kick the Cell processor.
The Cell processor roundhouse kicks Chuck Norris and cures cancer with its hands tied behind its back.
