Ah, happy birthday Saiyah. I scrolled down a bit too much by mistake and realized that I've been neglecting the birthday bar. With that in mind, I'll like to wish a happy belated birthday to the people I've missed also.

It was a chat incident. Me being a douchebag in chat has something to do with it.

Oh for Christ's sake, what could you have said in chat that would just make them run away from the forum? If they left the forum because they did not like it hear, then what ever. But if they left because some one said something mean over the god damn internet, then who gives a shit?

Well take if from someone who's all but checked out of this place.

This is a forum. You interact with others. If you don't get along with some of the die-hard members, what's the point in sticking around? You'll just be made into a fool no matter what.

So it probably is a matter of not liking it here since 'here' is where Eldo is, who's supposedly caused some sort of trouble. (not taking sides)

Also, just cuz it's over the internet doesnt make it morally right to be mean or whatever happened. That's just ignorant. Communication over the internet is becoming a more and more serious thing. It's getting to the point where there will be no distinction between your online world and offline/real world. So stop hiding behind the whole "this is the internet" thing. It's really just a safety blanket that people misuse to cover up their own mistakes and to avoid any type of blame for anything. Ya said what you said, and that's that. If you didnt mean it, ya shouldnt have said it. You should know better.

A month ago, did I not imply that more people will leave this forum due to the actions of individual members whom are being left unchecked? I warned you all yet still, I bet no one will listen to what i have to say and take it seriously.

Hope you all come to your senses since the forum's going down the tubes. I already know what most of your reactions are gonna be so, 'til next time, PEACE. :D

You said it yourself, if you don't like it here, get out. You claim not to like it here, yet you continue to post. Fascinating.

You seem to forget, this is THE INTERNET. Anonymity tends to do something to people. According to Gabe of PA's Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory, Normal Person + Anonymity = Total Fuckwad, and that's right for many cases. You are probably never going to meet these people in real life, so many people act on this to talk/act/be whatever they can't be in real life. I don't act out in such ways because I grew up and have no need to pretend to be leet haxor, but I still like to have a little fun. And if I have to "have no distinction between your online world and the offline/real world", why should people even bother having an imagination? And if you go crying because someone on the internet called you 'teh ghey', then I suggest you don't step out the door in the morning, because you obviously aren't capable of handling something we call "reality".

No we won't take it seriously, because no one cares what you think. It's the internet, thus no one really takes anyone that seriously. We like how this forum works and we don't like people trying to tell us how we should do it.

Get off your high horse. You act as if you are somehow above us because you have some kind of moral standards which make you incapable of "flaming" people. I'll tell you what, as long as people are coming here asking stupid questions that they could have found the answers to themselves, we will be there to bring this place "down the tubes". Get the stick out of your ass, take a seat, and chill the fuck out.

Oh, and nice watch. (Try not to lose any sleep over that)

Heh...I was in jest when I said I chased her out. I said 'hi' to her, and she quit immediately after my message was send, so I jokingly called her a 'bitch' which of course, isn't intentionally or literally taken as an insult. Hell, she wasn't even there when I said it, but only knew afterwards when Buzkashi told her. So do you guys seriously think that she would get angry because of that? Possibly not. I'm a bit surprised when you guys thought I could actually chase someone out of the forums as Femto did. I'm not that good yet. Now, to address Basou's points...

There's no big loss if people leave just like that. I'll leave any forum if I don't fit in, and everything just proves to be dull and uninteresting. I personally don't feel any major loss if I just leave a forum. I doubt Saiyah and Ambient left because they were being harassed (sexually or otherwise...) or insulted by any member; they are probably just too busy with real life crap. Although the hordes of male ogres in a male dominated environment is indeed intimidating...
It's getting to the point where there will be no distinction between your online world and offline/real world. So stop hiding behind the whole "this is the internet" thing.
There's a distinct difference between real and virtual reality, this is almost laughable to me. Did you know you could die from starvation if you don't eat in real life and surf the internet all day? Everything I say on the Internet has no consequences to my social life whatsoever. I could call Femto ghey, and he couldn't do anything to affect my real life at all. If people can't differentiate between online and real world, they may need to chill down and possibly, if it becomes serious, get some help. I know there are people who can't sort these two worlds apart, and some of their actions are rather extreme. I sincerely think they need to seek professional help as soon as possible. Unless you could tell me how Femto has somehow inflicted severe distress upon you in real life, I can't really agree with your line of thinking, unless there's a example or your own private experience provided.
A month ago, did I not imply that more people will leave this forum due to the actions of individual members whom are being left unchecked? I warned you all yet still, I bet no one will listen to what i have to say and take it seriously.
Things has not changed drastically since a month ago and your departure. Many people could attest to that. I don't think anyone has died or killed besides that unknown double homicide that hasn't been mentioned before.
Hope you all come to your senses since the forum's going down the tubes.
Um, how? Want me to give you an example of a forum that's in a shithole with tonnes of members posting everyday? Narutofan. That forum is deep in the tubes, right down to the bottom of the shit hole.

Did you ever past my compliments to your watch? I know my real life be directly affected and consumed by immense sorrow and disappointment if I hear your watch is being mistreated in any way. I haven't had any sleepless nights yet, so reassure me.

Ambient and Saiyah were the same person, I've got IP proof.

I mentioned the IP thing to her (him?) in chat once and I don't recall a solid response.

She left soon afterwards.

Attention whore at best.

Good riddance.

PS: BasouKazuma needs to get off this forum already and stop being such a drama queen.

EDIT: There was also a short-lived, third account called BeSwift.

Nice Watch? I'm clearly out of the loop on something.

Through all of my college years I posted to the mailing list of The Award Winning Virginia Fighting Caviler Indoor/Outdoor Precision (?) Marching Pep Band and Chowder Society Review Unlimited!!! (Or Virginia Pep Band for short).

The Pep Band mailing list had one cardinal rule -- Email is not the same thing as real life.

Even though I knew these people, hung out with them, practiced with them, preformed with them, drank with them, and even got kicked out of several states with them - the hard fast reality was that the Internet and real life weren't the same thing.

The reasoning behind this is very simple. When you and I are talking in the real world, there are subtle tonal inflections, movements of the eyes, and body language that communicate deeper meaning than the simple words I use.

The phrase 'you son of a bitch' is the best example. Consider that phrase as an insult and the same phrase as a exclamation of approval. In verbal communication this distinction is easy to make. On the Internet, not so much. Moreover, your own facial and tonal reactions to my words indicate to me how you're receiving what I'm saying - without those cues, I may not know how seriously you're taking what I'm saying or what impact it's having upon you.

Unfortunately, with the growing importance of on-line communication, more and more people are coming to equate the written word with the spoke word. Those who are not trained as writers tend to write as they would speak, but over emphasize their emotional responses to compensate for the lack of other cues. No one is REALLY rolling on the floor laughing their ass off when they write ROFLMAO, because if they were they couldn't type it -- but we consider that normal to communicate emotion in an emotionless environment.

But we're all ultimately bad at it. Thus emotions run high, people get hurt, and grudges form. So it's just better overall to distinguish the Internet from real life - at least until we're in some kind of voice and motion sensitive metaverse environment. Don't hold your breath for that one.

Just my thoughts.

I just read BasouKazuma's post.

Hahahahaha.

His real life has been shattered because some of us chased him off the forum.

:headbang:

PS: When I type 'roffles' I am, in fact, rolling on the floor laughing.

I did not know this. Seriously, what member of this forum would actually want her/him around after knowing this shit. Good riddance indeed.

They could be leaving in the same household, I guess.

I don't know, it doesn't sound very logical to do that.

I guess, but then perhaps Saiyah/Ambient would have been able to answer when Femto confronted her/him.

They lived in different places according to their profiles, so she was lying somewhere.

And what about BeSwift?

A desperate cry for attention.

As I said, good riddance.
