Is that really spiderman? It looks like venom. I don't like it, it makes him look too sinister.

Mixed feelings. I think it looks pretty cool, but that's not spiderman. I know Superheros go through costume changes, but not spidey. No sir, I don't like it. I could see it as some sort of alternate reality version. And I kind of agree with Evilester, it looks more like a symbiote, a good symbiote, but a symbiote nonetheless.

yeah not a hero look but I like it very much. Could just be that I'm more of a anti-hero person anyway though.

I wish they would just make a new character instead of rehashing old characters with new looks and ideas.

But what ever, at least they are trying something new, I will give them that.

With the recent storyline gone to hell, I don't really care anymore. They're change it back to the original costume as soon as they see the poor sales.

No that costume does´nt fit Spiderman one bit, would be more fitting on as you´ve mentioned "Venom" if they want to do an "extreme make-over" at all

The costume looks okay but it isnt Spiderman.

I've loved spidey since i was very young. I was him for Halloween on numerous times. Now, the costume is indeed boss, I do have no objections to it, but I'm curious to know the story for this comic book. Spidey is gettin old, he should pass his torch to a son or something.

Turns out the spider who bite Parker had powers due to the mystical nature, not from the radiation. The mystical spider was dying due to the radiation, and decided to past on its powers before it died. That was like rewriting his fucking origin there, which was fucked up bullshit. That ruined Spider Man a lot for me. Then, it went even further to say that there were other 'Spider people'; people who had the same powers as Spider Man, and they were chicken feed for some Morlun guy.

And the latest chapter had Peter 'die', and another Peter Parker emerging from a cocoon. Great fucking good job, writers. They should fire them all.

And Morlun ripped Spider-man's eye and broke MJ's arm or something, right?

I don't know, leave that stuff for the Ultimate line or something.

In any case, the costume is temporary at best.

It's not the first time Spidey has had a costume change and it won't be the last.

The costumes worn by the clone were...interesting. OK, actually, the Scarlet Spider one was fucking ghey, and the costume he wore after that was alright.

I liked his black and white costume the best though, but then Venom came along and he doesn't wear that shit anymore.

Morlun storyline was terrible. I can't believe the writers could ruin Spider Man in that way. Saying the spider who bit Parker was mystical in nature and didn't gain its powers through radiation was bullshit to me. I agree all that crap should be left in the Ultimate universe, away from the 616.

I know they're change the costume back as soon as they look at the poor sales. And they're fire all their writers too. What the hell is up with Marvel and shit storytelling and ideas?

I actually read that retailers are already adding Spidey to their pull list because of the costume.

I don't really care about changing Spider-man's origins or whatever but c'mon, ripping Spidey's eye out?
