The most important thing you need to know, is that it's most likely not coming to the States. Importing is your only choice if you want to play it.

The game itself is pretty decent and very satisfying for Berserk fans, the animations are great and the Dragonslayer has a lot of weight. It's not gonna change the industry, but it's mindless fun while it lasts.

Yeah, the boss fights make the game in my opinion. Who here has managed to unlock Zodd's sword? I felt like I'd been through intensive training after that. It was like I was ready to go fight Cell or some shit. I would've made a better reference and said, Byakuya, but I wasn't sure if everyone would get that one. Anyway, after that, the other bosses just seem like nothing. You know what I mean?

Let me ask you something.. Would the game be worth getting even when you don't understand japanese?

If you've been following the manga then it's not a problem, the game sticks to the story in the manga very closely. And it's not an RPG, so you won't get stuck somewhere for not knowing the language. At least I didn't. The only problem is the upgrade screen, which is in pure japanese and you might not know exactly what you're upgrading, but there are translations of this everywhere so it's not that big a deal.

As for the game being worth getting... well, that depends on how big a Berserk fan you are and if you have some 60 bucks to spare for the import.

A modchip or Swap Magic disc would work.

Yeah, any kind of device that'll allow you to play import games will do the job.

As far a Modchips go, here's the one I have http://www.modchip.com/ps2/slidecard.htm. Works well and you don't have to even put in a mod chip. I may get Berserk when I get to Japan in a couple months, PS2 games coast to much in Japan as it is, no need to add more money to import.

A normal slide card won't work on the new PStwo slim things. But you can get something called a Slim Tool (I use one of these myself) at http://www.modchip.ca (other places probably have it too). Ghost Switch or Magic Switch also work if you find those.

Well, I don't think goverment agents scan the tons of boards and posts out there for things like those posts. And theres also the rest of the web to think about.
