The other day I picked up Quake4, FEAR, Ages of Empires III, and Dragonshard. All but DragonShard I was able to play and enjoy. For whatever reason, Dragonshard won't play on my Dual Processor system... SUCK!

Anywho... so yeah, anyone up for a multiplayer game of AoE3 sometime?

I plan to get Fear for the awesome multiplayer. How about I play you in that?

I might roxxor you in q4 in some months ;D!

While im at it gonna pick up quakewars when it comes out :].

I would play AoE 4 with you if I had it.

But got F.E.A.R and Quake 4.

I d/l AoE 3, but haven't installed it yet. I hope it works (probably not). And I don't think I can play online with it .

Yeah, I pay for my games. Unfortunetly, because of that... I can't play 'em all. At least I can play online with others though.

Is fear gona be like another WoW? Cause ive been thinking of getting a new game but ive been leaning more to Star Wars Galaxies.....

FEAR is a supposed to a thriller FPS... kinda creepy. Got hit with a 2x4 last night, and ever since then my character started having flash-backs or something of dead people!

Heh, I thought it was an mmo.

More like the bad guy is giving you the flashbacks or something.

Btw. there is always a way to play dled games online. (Cracked) Public Servers or Direct IP Connections.

And AoE 4 got released right after The Settler 6.

And for MMOs I played the City of Villains Stress Test Beta last weekend. It was funny, there was even Necromancy! Hehe.

The joke he's making, is there is no Age of Empires 4. Age of Empires 3 just got released.

I downloaded it, and I have to say as an avid player of the previous 2 games and expansions, that this one's quite different. Even the camera styles feel different to me.

It's strange that they've adopted the "Hero" idea, giving you a unit with special abilities. Not to mention the trade routes, the EXPENSIVE upgrades to units, the fact that units now use torches to destroy buildings...I dunno, I'm used to seeing someone throw a stone from a sling and cause damage to the building, not people actually setting fire to one.

Overall though, I find it quite enjoyable so far.

As you noted in the Berserk section about 'finding stuff on the internet'. Yeah, I'm totally against that. Sorry, I don't support illegal duplication of games. Thus far, everyone in my office has bought a copy of Ages of Empires 3 and we play via LAN after hours.

I'm sorry, if you want to play then you have to pay. If you can't pay, then perhaps you have more important things in your life to take care of other than playing games.

The exceptions of course are GPL games like Nethack. I love freeware games, they are addictive... like crack!

As for AoE 4, perhaps we are not talking about the same thing as Ages of Empires 3 was just released on Tuesday.

I did not say I do it, I only said there are always ways to go.
And for the you can find everything on the internet thing, that was for Kaio. For not using google etc. where he surely could've found what he was searching for.

To be honest I think there aren't many recent games that are worth buying, didn't try AoE 3 so i can't say it for this case.
But if you play in a Clan (like I do, Battlefield 2 etc.) etc. it would be stupid not to say impossible not to buy them. (As a gaming news editor I get some games for free testing. )

Ah, the joys of a game reviewer. I agree that there are games that do suck, however I've always been treated well by EB in that I can buy the game and if I think it sucks, take it back and with that, my money as well. No questions asked, EB is very cool.

I like AOE3! It rocks! i wish I had a better video card though so I could get the soft lighting effects and the full water experience. I'm playing as the Dutch right now and building up Amsterdam but I'm starting to get sick of them. I hope they come out with an expansion to where you can be the Native Americans and defend your lands from the white man! That would rock! You could have a map of the US showing the white man firces and your forces and kick em out!! ^_^ But yea, Psi, if I ever get outta my phase of taking my sweet ass time building up my town with no defense except for my starting ones, then yes...I will play you. But right now you would kick my ass and then make fun of me all the time.

That will probably never happen AoE always tried to follow the path of history (as stated above I don't know about the current one).
And in reality the natives got totally pwned.

Hehehe I just got a second job which is a lot of fun! Plus I have AOE3 and DBZ: Sparking to steal all my time away. Don't worry, you're not the only one...school is losing my attention as well! But yea, I really need to get back into drawing....just so hard with good gameage. ^_^

EDIT: Then hopefully they will come out with a part for the American revolution and shit. They might have it in this game, I haven't gotten too far into it. Skirmishes steal my time. And my explorer's name is Gats ^_^ And he pwns everybody!

Do you play Civilaztion games at all Psi?? I just got Civilization IV, game owns.
