Yeah seems like it, actually saw a documentary that two swede´s made bout tigers in captivity.
They asked one off the handlers in some park what he would do if the Tiger jumped anyone

yeah but still to kill an animal just cause it attacked someone... that is a bit cruel... ok so the girl is dead. That must mean that the tiger felt threatened by something and snapped at the first thing within reach. It a perfectly normal reaction...

Well because once an animal gets a taste of human blood you got to put it down. Just like if you're raising wolves. If it finally gets a taste of a person you got to put it out or it'll continue doing that. If I was that girl's father I'd kill the tiger my damn self I don't care if the damn thing felt threatened or hungry or whatever.

if every animal that attacked a human because it was driven into a corner and felt threatened were to be killed a lot of animal species would be extinct....

That species of tiger IS allready highly Endangered.

It has nothing to do with getting a taste for human blood, it killed a person, thus it must be punished. We can't send it into jail to think about what it did (A zoo is close enough to a jail anyway) My friends dog bit me a few days ago because he is a puppy and is just getting used to having teeth and not gumming people into submission. Does that mean that this puppy will be a rabid killing machine? I doubt it. It's just a fight between Nature and Nurture. You can raise an animal as long as you want, but once you corner it or force a natural reaction, Nature takes over. And since we as humans can't fathom the idea that if you mess with an animal too much, you get what you deserve, we put them down to make ourselves feel like we've delivered justice.

Animals shouldn't be put in cages in the first place. We humans think we can control everything, eventhough we failed at it miserably many times. The girl getting killed is the fault of humans not the animals. They should leave those animals in their natural habitat. Btw, you never see a man get punished for killing an animal. Especially no death penalty.

The place that this happened is an animal sanctuary. I think it's for animals that would've otherwise not made it in the real world.

Although it's rather extreme to kill the tiger. It might've been necessary to get him off the girl.

Why was the tiger out of its cage?(it shouldnt be in one in the first place),just so dumb people can take pictures next to it? Whats tigers trainer/handler thinking? Jeez.

But I'm suprised that so many of you were suprised the tiger was killed.It wasnt the tigers fault to beginning with.But nothing else could be then after that.And I seen animals killed for less.

For example,a friend of mines dog had to be put to sleep(they killed him...) becuase he wass too aggressive a couple of times.Both times it was because a stupid old hag who was his neighbour,was trespassing in his backyard and his dog bit her(she didnt get hurt,a slight bite).first time he could apologise,the second time the old bitch reported the dog and they took it away and killed him.He was just a little dog.And the bitch got shit for trespassing in his garden.

We humans suck big time.
