That is some good work, the only thing that would make it better is if could see the dragons face or his eyes.

Yes good coloring there EvilDmitri... a couple of critics though, I can live without the eyes in the helm, but one glaring thing is the Dragon Slayers Connection thing is not gold  and no background... if you are using Photoshop Select the background and go to filters/render/clouds I like that effect for backgrounds most of the time

lol does it matter what is colored what color? Who knows what color the apostle's armor is supposed to be, I just went with what I thought looked good. Same goes for the Dragonslayer, the gold hilt link contrasts the blade and compliments the over all color scheme :P.

Eyes will be fixed, as well after effects to make it textured, and the background I didn't do because I screwed up and merged in a white background layer which will be annoying to remove from the final photoshop file. The final will look better :P think of this as a preview. If i make a background i'll just build it from scratch, no need to use a filter.

also you might want to compare and contrast your avatar and the cell you just did, you might find some differences between the two ;)

I was going to fix up that image.. just sat down to do it 5-6 hours ago.. but I got sidetracked when I saw another cell that demanded coloring. Since you all like Gatts so much, I did this. Actual size, enjoy my mistakes! :P

why not go ahead and color in the backround? besides all the time it'd take :P

Which mistakes dude? This is great!

The only thing I don't like is that blu elbow-shield. It breaks the colour scheme.

Otherwise, Ocen krasiva tavarish Dmitri (if you'll excuse my terrible russian)!

Nice!!

The only gripe I have is the black blood. I'm not saying it needs to be completely red, but it look like motor oil is coming out of him.

EDIT: I just posted in the Viedo Game forum a fan art of sorts...not really cuz it's not my mod for the game but I seem to be the only one around these parts that has found it so I show you all! check it out! ^_^

That was the plan.. couldn't come up with anything that looked good though, and lens flares are for nubs

Did you try this:
  1. 1. Fill the eyes with gray in a new layer.
    2. Add a radial gradient to the eyes
    3. Adding a new layer setting it to overlay, or maybe color burn or something like that and filling it with red.
    4. Than adding the copy of the red layer on top of that and add a Gaussian blur to it, of about 4 or 4.50

That usually work for me!

BTW Great work, man!

Yeah, that is really nice, but I think Grunbeld is red in that form. Well, that's what color he was in the game anyway. Still though, great coloring job. ;)

He could be a little more fiery, but I believe the point was to show - and contrast - the work on the eyes. Which IS great.

Personally I had imagined Grunbeld's armour to be a gold tone. Don't know why, it seemed to fit.

Same.. when I looked at the blank cell all I could think was gold and red.

I never meant this to go anywhere I just colored it to illustrate a point... but since many of you liked it, I made a wallpaper.
So, here it is:
