Currently Watching?

The latest and greatest of Japanese Animation. Found something new, or perhaps old and arcane... if it has to do with anime, it goes right here.

This is true for Ippo, but I didn't like how the FMA anime went off on its own and diverged from the manga halfway through. Anyway, I've picked up the D.gray-man anime again, now that the filler is over, cool stuff. I also finished Saint Seiya Hades last night. Damn it, open-endings suck. It looks like I need to wait for Saint Seiya Elysion, which no one is fansubbing right now. :(

I've been downloading the subbed Dragon Ball/DBZ episodes for the last week or two and they finally completed. I'll probably watch these off and on while I catch up on reading Gantz.

The anime ends 76 and there is an ova. I think the ending of the anime is in the manga beteween vol 30-32.

When you end the anime you will know clearly where to start the manga from. Cause the arcs name in the manga.

Its still worth watching. Specially when you catch up the manga. The cool music will be new to you. Its one of few animes i have rewatched.

I saw the first ep of Shigurui. I liked it. Its serious Samurai drama. It looks very good too.

Darker Than Black first ep was interesting too. I wonder what star they talked about. In the first ep i only saw a huge wall and no the mystical Star they are talking about.

Well the full series is 24 episodes, but the first 12 are season 1, and the others titled "Second Barrage" season 2. Although it's just one big story apparently, the 2 seasons had some time between them when airing in japan.

Black Lagoon? What is the premise of the story?

How does it compare to the "Creature from the Black Lagoon"?

Lets see..Average business man gets kidnapped by real pirates and joins them in their "pirating". He tries to remain normal without killing people etc, but still hangs around them even when they set him free to find himself or some shit. < That's basically the story for the first season..but besides that all the characters are fucking bad ass and its a great action series.

Has nothing to do with the Creature from the Black Lagoon. They are more like delivery men with no questions asked instead of pirates.

1-12(First Season) originally aired April - June in 06'.
13-24 "Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage"(Second Season) aired October - December 06'.

Second season wasn't as good as the first in my opinion. Too much Engrish not enough character development. They should of focused more on Revy's past. :[

Well I just watched the first DVD of the second season. The story with the 2 romanian child killers. And it was fucking good. Infused the series with some deeper content than the first season which I really liked. The story of the 2 childs is damn tragic.
