Well, considering the speed at which some people advance in this manga it's not unthinkable that Ikkaku learned it in the meantime. However, as you said it would seriously reduce the impact if you can learn it in a few days.

And isn't it funny how much punishment some people can take while others go down in one hit?

And sometimes even the same person. Gets beaten over and over again in one scene and goes down with on hit in the next.

There seems to be a big preparation factor involved: If a character expects the attack then it can't touch him, but if he's unprepared (even though the enemy has been standing in front of him talking for a while), then he'll go down.

I mean ban kai was supposed to be something only the top shinigamis would achieve ( captains ). But suddenly now a third seated dude pops up of nowhere and achieves it :E. I don't like it at all.

Kinda expected though since the 'bad guys' got such a huge boost. I just hope more people won't achieve ban kai in such a small amount of time. Hopefully kubo will make theirs less powerful since he said it needs at least 10 years to fully understand it and to use it properly.

I'm expecting the next uber-ban-kai release coming up....

whats wrong with ikkaku having ban kai? as for vice captain position, hes only 3rd seat because kenpachi will never replace yachiru. as for captain position, its only been a month at most since the soul society arc, i doubt he had the time for captain examination

They said Rukia was captain level in strength, so she'll have a ban kai.

Hmmm next thing you know chad is gona get some super power that for a period of time will make him stronger than most of the captains.

Buzkashi has the idea. There really is no one weaker than Ikkaku really at this point. If they could say that Rukia has always had talent, then its safe to assume that all the face characters are just as good. Chad could just as easily get some insane powerup in the next few chapters and surpass Ikkaku.
