Oh, but I don't underestimate Serpico. I think he's a powerfull character, a good sidekick, and he probably would have a good place if he was in the Hawks time...just see him against the Crocs! But against Gatts...man, of course he must be good, he isn't stupid, and he's challenging him. Their battle (haven't read the new chapters yet) is going to be a good one, since Gatts is in bad shape (too thin), and the columns. Yet, it's Gatts, c'mon!!!

Maybe he's broken-hearted because Farneze is going to marry another one...but they are brothers...oh, all these things are too complicated for me

Anyway...Serpico is cool, but Gatts is much more!

Thats obvious man, Gutts is the coolest in ANY manga, not just Berserk...

Think of it this way:

-Gutts : Shock Trooper (In combat the best, out of combat, not useful)
-Serpico : Tactician (Good in combat, good out of combat, general all around effective)
-Schierke : Artillery Support (Heavy hitting but takes a while to get up and running, in certain situations is more effective than anything else)
-Casca : Supply (The only thing keeping Gutts from totally losing it...)
-Farneze/Isidro (Military calls them REMF... Ill leave you to look it up, but long story short, slightly useful in combat but mostly effective out of combat)

puck/evarella : Medic
