Thanks Sandman! I do have a bunch of Naruto anime sitting on my computer right now, since I used to watch religiously... but then I stopped. Then a few months ago, I watched a bunch of episodes to catch up! But then I stopped again. A man can only take so much filler. However, I've been told the manga is better, and I certainly can believe it. They play One Piece on the kids' TV networks over here all the time (as well as Naruto now), and that seems to have put me off. But a recommendation from someone in these forums is enough to make me think twice. And Anime Eden looks incredible, can't wait to register (and THAT'S something I never thought I'd say).
There's more than likely a 60-page thread in the forums on this, but since I'm in the newb thread, I'll risk asking: How much of a "painful wait" are we in for, concerning the next Berserk release(s)?

Yes, I just read through the thread for the Chapter 279 release. "'Til Next Time," huh? Like everyone else, I'll have to dig out the older chapters and "rediscover" Berserk while I wait. And maybe scroll through Anime-Eden.com.

Dont watch that it will turn anyone off the series... What I did with OP was read the Manga then DLed all the high points in the series examples: Battle with Don Craig, Luffy and Zoro Fight (first island), Alabaster Arc (dont have but people say it is good), Sky Piea Arc (and a couple of Episodes before that so you get some back story and a look at some "interesting people"), and last but not least Water 7 Arc which is hell'ah long but very, very satisfyingKshatriya wrote:They play One Piece on the kids' TV networks over here all the time (as well as Naruto now), and that seems to have put me off.

this is a great series and I dont regret using a lot of Bandwidth to get it

Thank you sir, may I have another

Even more praise for One Piece (the manga, at least)! I know some guys around here who have large collections I could raid. Is there much filler in the manga? With Berserk, I feel that even though some of the Arcs are stretched out, it's not necessarily filler - everything contributes to character development, plot development, etc.
Oh well, it doesn't really matter anyway, since I'm downloading some of the One Piece mangas as I type this.

There usually isn't any filler in the manga. Filler is something that anime's put in because they come out faster (or rather they come out at the same speed, but there's more to a single episode of anime then there is to a manga chapter) so the anime needs something to use up time while the manga gets ahead again. One of the joys of reading the manga as opposed to the anime is that with the manga of something, you don't have to deal with fillers.
Sure, I'll stand corrected on that point. "Filler" is the wrong word to use. I think what I meant to say was that some mangas take forever to get anywhere - and that's not necessarily a bad thing (see: Berserk). I'll provide a better, more useful comment later, after I've read some One Piece!

Well, then Berserk will likely just keep getting better. I've heard Miura was largely inspired by a manga with over 300 issues, and last I heard, still wasn't finished. I should find out which manga that was...

That would be Guin Saga. I remember seeing (hearing, it was sound only

And I sincerely hope Berserk does not become some stretched out piece of crap, which is only there for the sole purpose of making money.
MrFelony wrote:well miura did create the anime solely for publicity for the manga...so I'm not so sure miura won't milk it
I dont think Muira wanted to make the anime, its prolly the bosses wanting more cash.
He didnt not create it since most mangaks dont have the time to work on thier anime versions.
Miura was pretty involved in the anime - even the music selections were his.
As an interesting sidenote, the creative producer (who oversees production, and is not the "big boss") said he would love to do another Berserk series covering the events after the eclipse.

Ok, first off I'm a new here but I'm a HUGE Berserk fan I own all 15 NA vols, and all 32 of the JP vols, I got the anime series, and own a couple of Art of War statues, and couple of garage kits, but anyways, I was wondering because I just found you guys on the internet, where can I find all the scanlations from vols 16-32 and the newest chapters as well??
Also where can I find all of the colorings you guys have done for the various Berserk manga drawings?? I love the ones they do at skullknight, and you're guys looks awsome as well.

Welcome D and the rest that I havent said welcome to
to answer your questions Go to the hawks for Vols on torrent or Anime Eden for Direct DL, and EG should have recent chapters but they dont release volumes... as for the Art stuff I think the only way to get all the Colorings and origanal art is to wade through the Fan Art section of the Berserk forum... its worth it there is some good stuff there. Again welcome See ya around.

I'm really sad. I accidentally opened the first page, went to the bottom, and saw a post by Arresty. I thought he came back
