i wonder what will become of chad and orihime in the future, it seems they are both feeling worthless that they cant help ichigo anymore, perhaps find a different source of power?

Probably another training session with Urahara... and they will come out with more powers.

Well, Kubo is leading up to something for them, I doubt he's going to drop them. And I'm still waiting for Asano's return, too (or was that his name?, damn, too many names in this manga).

in all honesty he should drop them and focus on stronger characters. I mean Orihime is and has been wasted thus far. Chad as well and the Quincy dude had gotten the best development out of the three and look where he is now.

The mangaka is pretty simple minded, he will simply make them level up somehow, just like the quincy who found his father, which will make him stronger. Orihime will surely train with the healing captain of soul society, for chad, it could be mostly anybody.

Well, for a manga like Bleach you don't expect too much complexity. Also, he lacks literary discipline, since he meanders all over the place, but that really doesn't matter. As long as the atmosphere stays tight I'll continue to follow Bleach.

i hope theres more development to hitsugaya, they showed a bit more development of him in the anime

I don't think that would the be case. We haven't seen Ishida for a couple of chapters and Orihime really I just don't see her getting that much stronger. Chad as well. Remember that they aren't spirits like everyone else so for them to level up would be rediculous.

Then Kubo loves a cluster fuck of characters.

thats just more inexplored, we dotn know much about the non-spirit powers so he can just do whatever he wants.

After hyping these guys up we get this ??? though i'm glad he is dead without them draggin it out but I mean come on Rukia had potential from the start? then why was she owned in the first friggin chapter like she was?

Rukia was a captain ... right? So she kinda has to own. Although she practicly had no resistance, so that's a bit lame.

she got owned because her primarily concern when she jumped in front of the hollow was saving ichigo, not her attack

Regardless she took one hit from a Hollow without name or rank and she was done. I don't care what rational we come up with this was a bad write on Kubo's part. I'm surprised that he would come up like this. Even if that was Ichigo taking a hit like Rukia did he wouldn't be downed with one attack.

edit: make that 2 attacks. That second one was poorly taken by someone with "seated" potential.

That's what I have problems with some shounen and with mangas like Bleach in particular, they get so ridiculously overpowered. Once you're the strongest fighter in the Universe, there's always someone stronger like the strongest fighter in the omniverse. I just hate it when they suddenly get a large surge of strength and nonsense like that.

yeah.. start using your brain, and the manga falls apart.. so leave your brain at the counter and pick up some popcorn for me before venturing in.

yes I did actually. But I'm only getting on the "she had seated potential from the beggining line".

Maybe I need to reread this past chapter along with the latest Berserk Chapter.

Right, I agree with you, however, I don't think Bleach has hit that threshold quite yet. Actually, the only anime I've seen get too ridiculous with it is DBZ. It does seem like Rukia's powered up, but maybe that hollow at the beginning just landed a critical blow, while all she was doing was covering Ichigo. I mean, she did live through it without too much trouble afterwards too. However, if she was this badass before, she should've been able to take the thing out without having to cover. It does seem like she powered up though doesn't it. *Shrugs* Meh, I don't mind too much. I just like being able to see her kick ass. I can handle a tiny plot hole. It's the really big ones I can't stand.

yeah I expected a power up as well. Though I think that she did not always have that potential.

I totally gave up all hope because IMO Bleach is turning into a lame Shounen. Props to you truly devoted fans

Yeah I did give up on it for awhile myself. Mostly at this point I find myself reading out of a weekly habbit. I'm not going to say that it isn't good I'm just saying that I kind of expected more out of this series and I guess my hopes were too high.

But I will not let ruin my enjoyment at this point. Yes it is somewhat a "typical shounen" but nowhere near lame.

edit: So Byakuya made sure that Rukia wouldnt' be a seated officer? that kind of goes against that one flashback that Rukia had when she said that she was accepted into a division and he asked "what seat?". She said none and he seemed dissappointed.

That's a good point. Hm, did that happen in the manga, or just the anime? I know it was in the anime, but I can't remember if it was in the manga or not, because the two seem to be blending together in my mind. If it was, then that may be another tiny plot hole, odd. Anyway, it sure does seem odd that D-Roy was destroyed by just a Shikai. I mean, even if the other Arankaru consider him a weakling, he's still a Vastrode class Arankaru. I guess Toushiro was over estimating them. Reminds me of the Soukyoku, which was suppossedly as powerful as a thousand zanpakutou or some crap...Heh, apparently not.

well its not like we saw byakuyas face, he jus said "i see....you may leave now". i mean its not like hes gonna say "oh you arent a seated officer? great, my plan went perfectly then". people say "i see" all the time, usually because they are speechless and have nothing else to say.

and why are people goin crazy over the rukia thing anyway? everyone finds unbelievable stuff in mangas all the time, but they get explained later on right? why dont you folks jus be more patient and wait till all the fighting is over and have some faith in kubo tite and he'll explain for you
