Q: How come my versus thread got locked?

In the case of versus threads involving characters that are not in Berserk, they get locked. Why you might ask. We’d like to at least try to keep the forum from degenerating into a mass of mindless banter. We feel that versus threads with characters external to Berserk will only bring down the quality of the forum. However, feel free to discuss hypothetical battles between characters within the series.
Oh, burn! :P

Maybe that's just me.
You read a fictional fantasy comic, you have no right to judge, heh.

Anyway, I think Griffith could take Serpico in a straight fight. Hell, even if Serpico tried to get tricky, I doubt he could beat even pre-eclipse Griffith. Although, if Serpico had his magical items, well that'd be different.

Pre-Eclipse Griffith's homo-eroticness would overcome Serpico.

At least it was Berserk related, I'm happy with that. My standards must be low this week. ^_^

Hah, welcome aboard.

in a fight Pre-eclips Griffith and Serpico, Serpico would most likely have the advantage, Griffith can fight very well and all, but it was proven that Gatts was a much better swordsmen than Griffith awhile before the eclips, Where as Serpico in a fight against post-eclips Gatts got at least a hit in which while a small cut to the face isnt a very decisive hit, I doub't that pre-eclips Griffith could even get close to Gatts

It is a story of which the events took place in a certain order of Miura's design. Who cares if someone from a future event could kick the shit out someone from a past event.

Lets keep the Versus and fan-fiction out of here please, as they add nothing.

Oh yeah, fix your sig. It was to big.

Yeah, brought over from a closed topic:

"Though I'm fairly sure this has been discussed before (and there's probably a thread around somewhere), one of the mysteries of Berserk that intrigues me the most is that child. I forgot which chapter, but you remember the child that Caska found, who seriously looked like Gatts and Caska?

There is, of course, no evidence that the kid is related to them in any way, but it seems like a strange coincidence that just before, Griffith noted how he still had recessive emotions for Gatts and Caska because of the host he took, then all of a sudden, bam, kid with Caska's eyes, and a combo of Caska's and Gutts' hair, and in a very nice scene, they look like a family.

All is well.... except the kid somehow scared away a demon, then the kid disappears. It's a subject I enjoy toying with. So, thoughts, proof to destroy my hypothesis, feelings?"

We boiled it down to Caska and Guts' son after Femto was reborn. Untill proven otherwise by Miura, it is a safe bet to say it is theirs.

Does anyone else remember the weird "Alien" looking thing we see in the city right before all hell breaks loose? Is that the 'child' as well?

As for the locked thread, if you have named the thread differently and typed in the affirmative instead of conceding that you didn't take the time to look, I'm sure the thread wouldn't have been locked.

That is the reason for the 10 post limit before thread creation, it is to get you used to how things roll around here. Obviously a very weak technical solution, I'm looking for a better way of handling it.

The kid is actually Griffith! He changed his form to the kid as a disguise!

Yes! Mune can eat his words! I proposed to him a Naraku-esque "get-rid-of-human" system. He said I was full of crap in a civilized manner. In one panel, they showed Caska's and the kid's eyes. They looked identical. But is this a different kid, in your opinion, or the same kid, but, you know, prettier?

It's not that I didn't have time, it's just that I had no idea how to look for an unnamed one-time character.

I recently did a re-read of berserk, and one thing snagged my attention and has been bugging me since...
What are the implications of this?? Is it possible that SK IS the elf king, or has some kind of connection to elfhiem?
And wasn't it the SK who suggested to take Caska to the elfking? (correct me if I'm wrong)
Image
It was in volume 18 chapter 10..

I don't know if this has been discussed yet; but if it has point me to the thread please, its bugging the hell outta me  .

you may be on to something, achoo!
i read that chapter again and it does seem that puck thinks SK "looks like ... " someone he knew.
which maybe his own king or maybe some legendary elf character.

Mmmmm, good catch a-choo.

Speculation time! :D

Skullknight dead because of the armor correct? Well, since Idea and God-hand would rather see SK dead and out of the way, perhaps the Elfking did have a hand in it.

After all SK and Flora had a thing going on, and Flora seemed to be in tune with the same kind of 'elf magic' and most importantly and 'female' looking elf around the place too.

by MrFelony
well dwarves were the ones who constructed the armor no? so the elf king, unless hired out cause the dwarves (the makers) couldnt provide such magical powers, probably didnt create it. Most experts in certain fields, such as magic and living (if just partially) in another realm, usually tend to congregate on certain topics. most likely SK has had to go to the Elf king in pursuit of help on possibly making his new sword. It seems a lil redundant for SK to tell them to go the see the elf king only for them to show up with him on the throne

maybe SK WAS an elven king long long ago.

mmm... fodder for stupid theory thread.

As starnum pointed out to me, Flora's magic is like elf magic. So, perhaps Flora is the main reason why SK exists, not Elfking.

I always assumed that Flora had something to do with SK's "rebirt"

however this is an outlandish theory: SK killed Void's earthly form as his final act of revenge. however, the berserker armor he was wearing caused him to fight far past the point of return and left him dying. seeing that the god hand still were out there, Sk's goal to destroy void was yet unfinished so Flora, maybe with the help of the, or a preivious elf king brought him back. however due to his death he came back warped along the lines of his inner demon (the one that is brought out by the armor, much like Guts').

Skullknight doesnt just have a fairy scent, when Puck first sees Skullknight, just before the whole Griffith rebirth thing, he thinks he recognizes him. "... huh? This guy looks like..." - v16c10p197.

Also, i think its safe to say that kid is Guts and Caska's kid. He protected them from beasts on the beach and when he was an ugly mutant thing he protected Caska many times, even from before he was born. He was swallowed by the Egg guy who was the egg for a perfect world, maybe it perfected the kids body?
