I will tell you when I start playing the game.Necromancer wrote:It's not really an asian MMORPG but okay.
Btw. which Races/Classes do you like to use the most.
I still need a game card to activate the account. I thought you got a 30 day trial, but that is bullshit. So I have to get a game card tomorrow. There is no way in hell that I am putting another MMO on my credit card.
I am thinking Woodelf Ranger though.

Let's see here....DarkenRahlX wrote:What are the jobs(classes) that you can have on the game?
First off, races....
Barbarian (Neutral)
Dark Elf (Evil)
Dwarf (Good)
Erudite (Neutral) "Powerful Mages"
Gnome (Neutral)
Half Elf (Neutral)
Halfling (Good)
High Elf (Good)
Human (Neutral)
Iksar (Evil) "Lizard Dudes"
Kerra (Neutral) "Cat Dudes"
Ogre (Evil)
Ratonga (Evil) "Rat Dudes"
Troll (Evil)
Wood Elf (Neutral)
When I say neutral, I mean they can either be good or evil. You have to choose in the game if you wish to be good or evil.
Classes.....
There are four major arch types you choose from...
Scout
Mage
Fighter
Priest
Then you get to decide with in that arch type at level 10.....
Scout:
Rogue
Bard
Predetor
Mage:
Sorcerer
Enchanter
Summoner
Fighter:
Warrior
Brawler
Crusader
Priest:
Cleric
Druid
Shaman
And then at level 20, you pick your sweet class with in your chosen archtype...
Scout:
Rogue - Brigand or Swashbuckler
Bard - Dirge or Troubadour
Predetor - Assassin or Ranger
Mage:
Sorcerer - Warlock or Wizard
Enchanter - Illusionist or Coercer
Summoner - Necromancer or Conjurer
Fighter:
Warrior - Berserker or Guardian
Brawler - Bruiser or Monk
Crusader - Paladin or Shadowknight
Priest:
Cleric - Templar or Inquisitor
Druid - Warden or Fury
Shaman - Defiler or Mystic
That is all folks.

And don't forget Ayanami, if you want to break the mold and have say a good aligned Dark Elf or an Evil Dwarf, the races aren't totally one-alignment only, there are quests you can do to switch alignments. I am Light-Side for life, so I would want to stay in the good city, Quinos (sp?), as opposed to the dark city, Freeport. And in EQ2, I back that decision in two ways:
1.)Every NPC you talk to in Freeport is pretty much "Piss Off!", or "Here's a mission, do it before I decide to kill you!" and everyone in Quinos is just "Hey, how can I help you?" or "Hello, could you do me a favor?"
2.) Quinos's leader is vioced by Heather Graham, Freeport's is voiced by Christopher Lee, and while I do enjoy hearing Count Dooku talk, I enjoy watching a curvacious female with a hot voice more.
If I were to pick up EQ2 (I probably won't since as of right now I don't even have enough time to paly Guild Wars that much) I'd get a Paladin going, mabye as a Kerra (Thunder-cats, Hoooooo!) And I'm not sure, but I think you have to start off as evil to be an assassin, which is a job I think would be fun, probably as an Elf of some type.

I'd take the Necromancer, you know.
Hehe played the trial of the isle.
One year to test all the races/classes.
Problem: You're only on that small newbie island and highest level is 6.

I think EQ2 is better than Guild Wars IMO. Guild Wars is very different, and in my opinion not different in a good way. I like it, I still play it from time to time. But I do think EQ2 is a richer experience. GW is free though, so as ya do.Tempest wrote:If I were to pick up EQ2 (I probably won't since as of right now I don't even have enough time to paly Guild Wars that much) I'd get a Paladin going, mabye as a Kerra (Thunder-cats, Hoooooo!) By the way, FYI, I hated EQ1 with a burning of a thousand fires. I think EQ2 is one hell of an improvement.

Ragnarok Online 2, another game for those hack'n slay kids that want oh so cute anime graphics. After all they got the hint and took the unreal engine, poor poor kids, will get nightmares.
3D: Error too complex for childish brain!
Sorry to all those who like that game.

Tempest, i really think you should try EQ2. I know Guild Wars is free and all, but i think you would enjoy it alot more than GW or WOW. I cant think why i picked up WOW. It was so easy, now i would not mind trying PSo Blue Burst, but Ayanami thinks its a bad idea. I might try it just to see if alot of people are on.
Under Construction!
I can.Rosiel wrote:I cant think why i picked up WOW.
Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerooooooooooooooooooooyyy Jeeeeeeeenkins!!
Any who, FFXI needs to come up with a game card system so I can play that again. But I don't know if I will be able to after good old EQ2. It is pretty good as far as MMOs go.
By the way Rosiel, looking sharp with that Ava/Sig.

See here's the thing, being at school, I really only have some much time to put into an MMO, if any at all. I have a decent class load, and if I don't play a game at least 5 hours a week or so, I don't want to pay for it. I like Guild Wars beign free because it means if I don't want to, or cant play for days or weeks at a time, It's not like I'm paying for nothing. I wouldn't mind trying EQ2, but I want to wait for a while when I have more free time.
Aight man, to each his own. Rosiel just wants everyone to play EQ2.
Any who, I am not going to use my card for any more MMOs. If FFXI had game cards like EQ2, I would probably play it again. I liked FFXI the most out of the MMOs I have played. However I have only really started playing EQ2, so I can't say if I will just want to stick with this or not.

Good attitude. Sadly there are not much free MMORPGs out.Eldo wrote:I don't think I'll play any MMORPG that will require me to pay.
Didn't you mean to say that to me?Ayanami wrote:Bah, just because necromancers were not in it.....Rosiel wrote:I didnt like the classes in FF XI and the races were not so hot as well. (in my opinion)
