You mean Meteos? Made by the same guy that made Lumines.

Buz arent you a MGS fan?

Then buying the PSP with MGAcid can be a good thing to have.

Otherwise its better to wait for the prize to drop and wait for more good games.

for having a PSP and my cousin owning a DS, i would say wait and save that money for now. There is more to come and the next gen of PSPs should come with in the next couple of months.

PSP

Pros- basically an entertainment system that cant be toped. Movies, Games, Music, web, downloads.

Cons- very delicate (like all sony products lol, nothing is broken on my though) Small battery time, you would think 4 hours is good, but it goes by fast. There are things that can boost the battery to 10 hours. Cost, 250 bucks is a lot, and a 1 gig stick is like half the price of the PSP.

DS

Pros- very big libary (gba games) Pictochat!! cool stuff, espically if you got other friends during class or something. Some pretty cool games coming soon. Main purpose to play games, and it delivers well. Stylus and touch screen.. soooo many possiblites...

Cons- Just plays games... (unless you are playing those gba movies) seems cheaply made. technology wise it cant compare to the PSP at all (but we by games for the games not the gfx).

well those are what i think about each handheld. I saw just wait, save your money, you are at 300 might as well wait and save 200 more for the next gen consoles?

Tlked with Ayanami about it, the game I wa thinking of was Polarium.

While Polarium is sweet, I don't think it beats Lumines to be honest. However I am looking forward to Meteos. I believe it was Famitsu that gave it higher scores than Lumines, but I could be wrong. Also, Meteos looks far more original than Lumines and more entertaining. Just me though.

You can buy spare batteries for about 30-40 bucks... Cheaper than that 10 hour thing u were talking about... you could buy 6 spare batteries for that amount and that would be about 28 hours of gameplay.

And the battery life isnt just 4 hours. It depends on what you do with it. If its just music it could last 10+ hours...

40 bucks for another battery... i dont knwo about you, but i dont want to be carying extra batteries. Plus do you own a PSP?? cuz i think the cover to the battery is a bitch to get off. (and you know sony, plastic isnt the strongest thing in the world.)

but yah i can understand that music goes a bit longer, but my comparison was to the DS battery.

but hopefully in the future sony will come out with a battery that will last for 10 hours (and that will fit in the console itself).

The only reason DS lasts longer is because it uses cartridges...

Dont get me wrong. The DS is really good, and Nintendo has more experience in handhelds but the PSP, sooner or later is going to surpass Nintendo.

Already Sony made something that, in my opinon is more appealing.... Compared to the DS, the PSP it more personal. You can customize, play games and listen to music.

The DS is nice. The only thing they've got going for them is the backward combatibility. But even thats going to be gone if sony were to make a new handheld. CDs vs cartridges... You already know which is going to win.

It already happened to the N64. If Sony hadn't come in at that time we'd all be playing "Nintendo 128's" LOL!! Can you imagine?? Playing the games from years 2000-2004 on a 128 bit system??

Well... I'm just rambling now.

I'll end it here.

lol i love the news about the video hack, that you can put the video onto the memory card instead of buying the UMD, saves a bunch of money that would go to waste. plus its beneficial to me when i get mine becuz i already have a 1 gig memory stick. plus if sony ever comes out with a UMD burner, its sony folks, jus that name alone will make it atleast 100 bucks

its not really a hack, its a normal function of the PSP. Make sure your 1 gig is a Memory Pro Duo, if not then it wont work for the PSP. But yah the PSP is awsome, and i love mine to death.
