Yeah, Shamo was pretty fucking sick. No comments on Ichi, since that's fucking obvious.

Another thing I just remembered, another scene in Berserk that's fucking sick to the core was the torture bit, when Nina first enters the torture chamber. You see those chick's tits getting squashed and shit...

Most disturbing scene for me too was seeing Casca getting raped and Wyald raping that village girl. Seeing women being tormented like that pisses me the fuck off. Makes me want to beat a bastard's head into the ground until I splatter his brain and jam his teeth in the back of his throat.

Personally, a disturbing scene that hasn´t been mentioned is when Gutts drives his sword through Count Julius´s Son. Either in the anime or the manga, it just makes me feel all weird when Gutts realizes what he just did. And the way the kid reaches out to him...

The first time I saw that, everything changed.

To me that was more of a sad scene than disturbing. It showed that Guts really had a good heart in him. He killed the kid, but you could also see the hurt in Guts' eyes for doing what he did.

The Torture scene in the Tower with the priest dude... and the troll rape-age scene.

Gore-wise, Berserk doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I don't find it gorey at all.

However, violence linked with sexual torment... eck, it just bothers me, especally when it's brutal.

In my opinion the images aren't that disturbing.
The Image where Vyald got after Guts etc. with the village girl he raped before sticked on his weopon.

I also think the "game" between the little (child) elfs was pretty sick, or at least bloody;). Not that i find anything disturbing in berserk, its just very graphical (with blood and other gruesome stuff).

If you don't find Berserk disturbing, there is something wrong with you, and you cannot possibly appreciate Berserk as much as someone who finds it all slightly disturbing. Because Berserk is inherently meant to be graphically disturbing, for what is actually happening throughout the story is disturbing.

What if something is "wrong" with me and why shouldn't it be possible for me to appreciate it only because don't think it's that disturbing?
I like the "disturbing part" but not because it's disturbing in my opinion.

For some reason, the first time i read Berserk, i too less rape, too less violence, and still lacking in the rape department. I though there was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy too much jokes with puck and all... But after the 2nd going through it, im kind of wondering why i missed it all, but still i say Berserk isnt really that distrubing, maybe because its just drawings, not real life to me.

I, myself, am not much affected by the imagery in Berserk anymore, but I still recognize the horridness of it on a mental level.

Man if you haven't read Shamo you haven't seen anything, i mean the rape scenes in Shamo makes the ones in berserk seem like nothing. They almost made me puke.

Also Shamo is about a 16 year old that snaps and kills his parents and then goes juvenile prison,there he is extra punished cause apparently the criminals in there thinks killing your parents is a no no,but other crimes is normal,like killing people that aren't your parents.

I don't find it disturbing in the graphic sense. Maybe because it's a manga, so it's drawn, therefore not real. But if I saw a movie with that content...probably would be pretty affected. Not so much for the violence (movies today are already quite violent), but for the rapes. Man, I do hate rape so much...I think the shallow the man can go is to become a rapist.

Of course, on a medieval time, it was quite common. You lost in battle, your women would be raped.

Sick...

As for a single scene...the women hanging in the Demon Castle, being torn appart by the alligators.

I hate violence against women, it just make me feel bad. I tie it to reality, even being a manga.
