yes it would be good to see some more Grifith in action, or at least his army. I think that is one of the things the previous chapters lacked and was one of the reasons they weren't so interesting...

It'll also be interesting to see just how many Apostles are in the Band of the Hawk. We know there are a lot, but the actual number has been rather vague. A few hundred? A couple thousand? I'm interested in getting a better feal for this.

Well, the Apostles ground forces will be at full strength, and if Griffith is in the area, they will be in the area. Only the Air assault forces attacked the emperor and they were cooked Well-Done.
I for one find the current events quite interesting. Griffith has already made contact to Silas through Rakshas (possibly a former Bakiraka?). Through Silas, theoretically Griffith could make peace with the Kushan and stop the battle in its tracks allowing for low casualties. The People don't care about winning a great battle, they care about jobs to fill a stomach. Guts said so himself in the city. Less deaths could really gain public support a lot faster than taking Femto's form and taking off the emperors head. I mean, who wants a monster for a king? No, i think Griffith is doing everything perfectly. Gaining the Churchs favour, allowing fear to sweep the country, and if I'm right, come to peaceful terms with the enemy with hardly any more bloodshed.

This scenario is much like an example of the US making peace with Osama Bin Laden or Saddam Hussien.
The church does not want to side with the Kushan, and vice versa. Ideally, making peace with the Kushan would be beneficial to both sides, especially to the church since they are up against impossible odds. But would both sides accept peace from one another? They have opposing views with each other, and may not see eye to eye. Let's consider the side of the church first. The church considers Kushans like they are devils from hell and practitioners of black arts. They have used Kushan as slaves and hanged them out to the public to dry. Ill treatment to the slaves and all. The Kushan would not take that lightly. To side with the devils would just about be impossible to ask of from the church. On the other side, Kushan considers them as infidels, and well, just plainly don't like them. They were going to take slaves too and use the females to breed a whole battalion of demon soldeirs. So both sides are really assholes.
I don't think peace is very likely between both sides. Currently, Kushan has the overwhelming advantage right now with greater numbers. Griffith and his neo band of the hawks are nowhere to be seen right now. They probably want to make their rescue as dramatic as possible. Like a deus ex machina, I guess.

It's entirely possible, and even probable, that he eventually plans to make peace with the Kushans, but I doubt it'll be anytime soon. First he'll have to kill the Emperor, and defeat the Kushan army before that becomes possible. Given the advantage they seem to have right now, I doubt any Kushan leader would have any interest in making peace until their army has been decisively defeated. Likewise, after the atrocities the Kushans have committed, I don't think any leaders on the allies side would want to make peace without at least giving the Kushans one good defeat. Last, I doubt that Griffith would want to make peace yet, since he needs at least a few more victories over the Kushans to build up his support base if he wants to leverage that into being given a kingdom.

I think Griffith will not only defeat the Kushan army, but will PULVERIZE them. Why? That way he can show them he's the one and only messiah. Something along those lines...

I'm sure Griffith doesn't give two shits as long as the Kushan(s) serves a purpose or defects, but the church may think otherwise, as I mentioned in my post. Griffith has probably left the masked guy behind because a Kushan fighting against another Kushan probably doesn't work for the people of the church, or he may be lurking in the shadows and operating behind the scenes.

Where did he say that? Is this straight from Miura's mouth or some other fan?

I am kind of puzzled about that guy's agenda. He told Griffith that he'll, one day take his head. This is pobably not literary, and Griffith allowed him to stay for some reason. Is there any explanation?

The enemy/rival who will follow your leadership until you falter, and then kill you, is a common literary device. Jack London's "Call of the Wild" is a fairly popular book (required reading in many schools) that contains examples of this.

I've read a lot about 'why the release date isn't there', and I have to say, it's because we don't know when the next release is. 'Til next time' was written there, because it's what the translation of the text says (kinda, but not really). As for the next release date, your guess is as good as mine. I absolutely refuse to 'guess' and put a freaking date there, because when the day comes and it's not there, everyone will be whining about why the chapter is not out. 'But the release date is written on the last page', they say. We don't know why the release date isn't shown. We don't know if Miura is taking a break from work to go on holiday. We don't know if Miura is actually going on a holiday or not. We don't know where Miura lives.
The only thing we can do is to check Young Animal's website for the mangas that will be featured on that month's issue. If Berserk is on that list, then great. We can have it all good and gravy. If not, I can't do anything about it. I can't influence the way Miura draws the manga, whether speed or quality. When we see Berserk on the list of mangas that's featured on the Young Animal issue, then we will inform you lot first.

Exactly. I'm sure Rakshas really meant he plans to kill Griffith someday, but I doubt that'll ever happen.

Yes, I'm more inclined to believe the later, as they've said that Locus is Kushan as well, and he's still in the forefront, last I check.

From whence did that come? No where in the story did it say Locus was Kushan. He was merely the one giving the explanation as to why the Hawks has Kushan soldiers on their side. That be's it.

He certainly doesn't look much like the other Kushan's. What chapter did it say he was, I need to go back and reread that.
