It was actually a scheme of Norman Osborn's who hired someone to act like Parker's Aunt, while he imprisoned her at some place. Later, Osborn went insane after doing some offering occult bullshit, the same ceremony that gave birth to the third Spider Woman.
Maybe we should just make a thread and bring up all the crazy stuff and plotlines that happened in comics?
I like that idea. That'll be cool, man, start a thread!
You know there is one already, my comic thread ;)

that's a god awful idea. spiderman is about agility and clever maneuvers with his web. Now he is a brute force fighter? sigh

There's nothing really bad about the earlier issues, it's just the recent issues handled by different writers in the few years has been written poorly.

Of course Spidey was the reason i stared reading comics twice.

The first time when my brother Shaka Zulu bought the comic in the clone saga days and then i saw the movie which made me read the Ultimate and did start the comic movies wave and thanks to that wave i saw Hellboy,SC movies. They are my two favorit comics now.

You know what they say if you read one comic, you are stuck in the swamp.

I read much DC,little marvel,Top Cow,Image comics like Fell,Invincible.

Actually Spidey was my very first real comic.
I used to read many X-men issues too.

Nowadays, Berserk is the only "comic" for me. hehe
and Garfield in the funnies of the newspaper

That shit is fucked man, I just read Marvel Knights Spider Man 22, and he was chasing that freaky woman made of collective spiders, which didn't really account for anything except cryptic messages and bullshit like that. The stingers crap just popped out of nowhere. 'Evolve or die', 'Spider or the meal'...

Spider-Man 2 is hands-down the best superhero movie ever.

Just throwing that out there.
