Gaiseric wrote:Just finished Transporter 2. Lots of action but dumb as hell. It had half a dozen scenese that were completely ridiculous and ruined the whole movie. And I hate that they switched his car from Audi to BMW. Glad I didnt pay to see it. Kept me entertained and it was dumb enough to laugh at, so:
5 / 10
I also saw Memoir of a Geisha. I remember it was pretty damn boring, but I had a bit too much jager before watching it. So I guess I will have to see it again before giving it a score.
I geuss Luc Besson isnt involved in Transporter 2??
I cant see him making a dumb movie.

Well Jeanne D´arc for one wasn´t that good off a movie actually. Great fight scenes though

But all the "drama" wasn´t good at all

well i finally went out to see hostel. It was stupid and not as funny as SAW but still funny especially at the end. Random nudity and not much real violence since most of it would cut to a different angle. I don't know what to say so i'll just rate it: 6/10. I don't rate below 6 unless it isn't a movie.
That Ultraviolet movie looks cool. Just hate her outfit.

"The Constant Gardener" Well I expected more action in it. Thought it was a Thriller when in fact it was a Drama/Thriller.
The ending could´ve been better also, didn´t satisfy me at all. Still I give it 7/10
"Lord off War" Great movie, what more can I say 9/10
"Evilenko" Does anyone know if this is just a re-make off "Citizen kane" (Or is it Citizen X? Cant remember). Cause I could´ve sworn I recognized so much from that movie in it.
Not such a good movie though, but the one playing Evilenko played his role really well. A real psycho in other words

5/10

well these aren't really for 2006 but they do sure promise to be the worst movies i've seen for a while. Uwe Boll (the guy that made bloodrayne, alone in the dark and house of the dead into movies) also has film rights to following: In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, Hunter the Reckoning, Far Cry, Postal and Fear Effect. I guess several more great games will see theire image ruined by this director..
Hostel: Damn what a boring movie. Only the scene at the very end actually came through on what the trailer promised (the toilet scene for those that saw the movie). I mean there was NO suspense. The story sucked like hell and the acting was lowsy.
Don;t know to many movies that will come out in 2006.... 'cept for superman but i really do want to see 2 movies in 2007.... Namely Hitman (with Vin Diesel as agent 47) and spiderman 3 cause i really wanna know what venom will be like in the movie

I want to see the movie about Johnny Cash, I know it´s a glorification off his life so alls not true. But it´s gotten a lot off praises

Yep and its the guy from that 70s show, Topher Grace. (Prolly the worst choice for venom in my opinion.)

Not like Tobey was the best choice for Spidey...

True, but still, Topher was known as the weak guy in that 70s show, how is he suppose to play venom? Tobey may not have been the best choice, but he played a good nerd in Pleasentville. Who knows whats going on in the mind of the director, but dafoe was the shit.

Dafoe rocked, without him the movie woulndt be as good.
Brock always seemed like a nerd to me a loser and since he will be in some CG suit Topher might not be a bad choice.

Tobey had some more really interesting roles before. I resently saw wonder boys with him in it and i have to say that it was a good movie and he played an interesting character.

Serenity was a pretty good flick for a Low Buget film, I guess it use to be a SCIFI show called Firefly but I never watched it. Serenity was good though.

I still have the feeling that V for Vendetta is like Matrix with a touch of Equilibrium put into another milieu

well that would mean they would try to combine 2 great movies. Dunno if they will succeed with it though

and Ultraviolet is also a similar concept to Equilibrium (same director or sth.)
I don't mind though, but my originality senses are very seldom alarmed nowadays

I saw Tom Yum Goong a while ago. It has some of the most amazing fight scenes I have ever seen. Not much of a story and the acting is quite bad, but who cares, you watch it for the fight scenes. Its a thai movie, but they speak english(or something close) and chinese through half of the movie. It would have been better if the spoke Thai and had subs, cause its really hard to understand them.
