Too many post pages to read so here's my quick question.

I finished the 25 episodes of bersek anime, so I want to continue the story but don't know which manga chapter or volume to get to continue on.

Just start over from volume 1. It's better that way, trust me. If you want to be a bit confused regarding new characters and such, the animé ends around volume 13.

Yeah, I highly recommend you start the manga from the beginning, because they cut a lot of shit out of the anime. ;)

I don't know it takes too much time to do that. What kind of stuff did they cut out ?

its not too much but they are some important things left like SK telling Gatts about the eclipse and the fight with Wyld ( the first apostle thst Gatts defeat ) well things like this .

After the first episode in the anime where Gutts has his flashback, there is about 4 volumes (Probably the equivilant to 8 thirty minute episodes or more) worth of fighting other apostles and a whole lot of other explailnations and a main character that was taken out of the anime (Puck!). It also leaves out battles with an Apostle and some assasins after Griffith is rescued. Basically the anime is just a preview of the manga, with more secular aspects and less about the demons that get more prevalent n the beginging and more current volumes of the manga.

The long and short of it is to read the manga from the begining after seeing the anime. I tried picking up at volume 13 after the anime and while it is do-able, it gets very confusing (especially Skull Knight)

I can honestly tell you, if you don't want to read the first 13 volumes because 'it takes to much time to do that', then don't. It's definitely your loss, and I don't particularly care if you get convinced to read it anyway.

Well, it's your call. However, if it's too much of a hassle to read Berserk from the beginning, then I would say don't bother with it at all. I mean, we're not talking small differences here. In order to understand the events that take place after the Eclipse, it really is crucial to read the Golden Age of the manga, IMO. Besides, you owe it to yourself as a fan. Totally up to you though. *shrugs*

Hi to everyone, I´m not really new to this forum, as I´ve been lurking around here for quite a long time (about 2 years?). After all this time, I now felt obliged to make my presence known - and be it only to thank EG for its great work!

By the way: Please keep flaming stupid newbies, through the time I´ve seen quite some forums going down (in terms of quality). So I really hope you can maintain your high standard.

Pleased to have you around Orm!

As you can see, thanks to our dedicated mods the n00bs are sorted out rather quickly, but I hope that won't discourage you from posting more often! :P

Hi! My name is Aeriel and I am a Berserkoholic.

I am ashamed to admit that I have no clear recollection of my first contact with Berserk. I have a friend who is a true anime/manga otaku and from time to time I bug him to burn me a disc or two of the good stuff. I do know that it was he who introduced me to the manga (and much later the anime), but everything around those first moments is hazy  Anyway, soon after I was so into Berserk that I went around and preached the word to my ignorant and pagan friends about the best comic ever! :)

As my net connection sucks (dial-up, plus I am on the last analog pulse telephone central in my city), I did not have ability to search for Berserk related net-stuff. Only recently the situation changed to better somewhat, and I googled upon this forum while searching for a place to download the new chapters from.

So here I am, and I say hi to everyone around :D

Good to be here :D

And I use this opportunity to apologize for the trouble my sig gave you. I've searched everywhere (except in the 'reg' section obviously) to find if there were any limitations on sig's size before I added mine, and all I've come up with was that it must be below 512kb. Anyway, it is fixed now...

Yeah, its the things you agreed to when you registered. *grin* I should sneak stuff in there to see if people really do read what they are agreeing to. I dunno, that you can't sue me for anything and if you try, you are legally obligated to pay all my lawyer fees. *mwah hahahahahha*

Yeah, but that still means you don't get any money, you just forward it to your lawyer, right? :D

I heard once an American tell a joke that goes smth like this: what is a sunken ship full of lawyers? A good start. :D

Didn't mean to offend anybody, if someone feels offended...

heh, pretty much how it goes around here. We are typically tongue-in-check individuals, no worries. We'll let ya know if something isn't appropriate.

Jesus f***ing Christ! I'm so sick of lawyer jokes. Especially by business students - business students have no goddamn right - for god sakes it's not like stockbrokers and accountants are that bloody fantastic, white collar crimes are more heavily populated in places like the banking industry than anywhere else. (Yeah, I'm not sure if you're a business student, but if you are I would certainly feel like kicking one up your ass.)
