Buz suggested a few pages back that somebody should start using animated avatars, and I'm willing to give it a try. Possible candidates:





I'd obviously have to resize them a little and I might add some kind of background too. Alex is my top choice right now, because his standing animation is awesome. Ken's is cool too, but he's a whore, and Necro's standing is crazy, but I don't really like the character. I'm might use stuff from MOTW too, but I'm having trouble finding GIFs from that.

Opinions?

Need to find Soul Calibur GIFs not much of a Street Fighter Fan but anything is better than the AV you have now, who is that anyway? 7/10 for your Sig and custom Title, when do you get one of those?

I was wondering how to get a custom title that led to the Mod question, so yes I guess I am.

Sandman you gave Femto's current sig a 7/10. My opinion on this Femto is don't change, it will ruin your current run of avas. I love the style you use now pretty much consitantly 10/10, but if you go to those animated ones then I will lose all faith in you.

Arresy, 9/10 for you and your Band of the Hawk AV(is that out of a artbook I have seen it some where before?), but what do you have against animated AV's what about this one?

That said, I think I'll keep mine. Arresty's points are true and I can't really find any GIFs worth avataring. Pyron was a good choice though, I can't believe it didn't cross my mind. I think I'll just keep things the way they are for now. My ava is relatively new anyway and I really like it, my sig too. No point in changing it yet.

You used it as an ava but you don't even know where it's from? All my excitement has just gone down the drain...

He's from the Capcom fighting game Vampire/Darkstalkers, he's the last boss. He is selectable in later versions (Vampire Savior 2 and teh p0rts) and he is an awesome characters, as crazy as the rest of the Vampire gang can get. That guy with wings I thought of using as an ava is from the same game actually. You should give it a try.

Sandman your new one is really good. Probably the best of the animated ones I have seen, but I still only give it a 9/10, just because with the exception of a few I don't care for animated avas. I think the main reason is artisticly they are lower quality, since animating with the same quality as still pictures is way to time consuming and impractical. Also they can be distracting when trying to read posts and such. I like some animated avas though. Yours for example is a good one.

Also with Femto, he has had a series of amazing avas, all being very good artistically and I like that, if he change to a low quality animated like he was posting I would just loose respect for his avatar selecting ability. If he found some better animated ones I wouldn't mind as much, but still woudl be mad that he doesn't still use the badass ones he has used in the past.

I personally don't like animated avatar's, so I can't really provide a score for it.

I realised ive been doing a lot more reading then posting these days. Heh guess ive calmed down. But i really dont want to get surpassed....

Whats sad, is I feel as though I have calmed down as well. I have been posting less these last few days I think, but you have barely been posting. And I wouldn't say it was spam, since I was answereing his questions.
