Preacher is OK.

A lot of religious ideas might have been interesting back then but now they just seem dated.

Great characters though.

Only two volumes left.

In Civil War frontline, I like how the reporter leaves the interview with Cap because she thinks he's made up is mind by denying every arguments that doesn't fit his way of seeing things.

I think Both Iron Man and Cap are wrong in this event. I guess I'm with the THING.

Dated is indeed the word. I read all of Preacher, hoping it would get better towards the end, but it is just too pulpy and silly for my tastes. I fail to see the need for Preacher when one can read Sandman instead.

Captain Sweden is not gay enough to wear blue tights, at least.

I heard of this because Robert Kirkman has made it, and he is someone I really like reading stuff of. Like Invincible and The walking dead(great zombie comic) both which are excellent and unique. Due this, I skimmed and tried some of his other stuff...including Battle Pope...and it was just too much, too silly to be funny and to campy.

Probably not as good as Zombies vs Robots. My twin bought it and, though I didn't read it, the content I've seen didn't seem to be that great. It's in black and white btw. There's a Cowboy vs Aliens book too. And not aliens from the ALien franchise, extra-terrestrials.

Zombies Vs Robots is good though. I'm waiting for issue 2 to come out.

But fucking Superman is a goddamn faggot.

In other news, I introduced Preacher to Mystic. It was glorious, he said.

Well done, everyone should read Preacher.

Okay, so here's what you do. Take every third word, and you get this:

See it yet? Okay, last SPOILER warning...

Now take the first letter of each word, and you get this:

"The secret of fifty two is that the multiverse still exists"
I haven't read an issue of 52, so I don't know if I care.

I will read Avengers comics for the first time when New Avengers team comes out.

I mean Spidey,IF,Cage,Wolverine,Ronin,Echo,Dr Strange.

Thats a great team, full of street level ninjas and a couple of powerhouses plus the only interesting mage in MU.

Yeah, and it's written by Bendis.

Oh, that's right.

Yeah like i am the only one that doesnt like Bendis haha good one

Seriously though even despite Bendis, this interesting mix of team might become something good.

Bendis did good work with DD and he is bound to do some new good stuff once and again ;)

Kidding aside, I'm also interested in the new roster and in Mighty Avengers as well.

I'm willing to bet Ronin is Captain America.

Most people including me hopes its Bucky.

Cap would not fit in that role.

Plus a new guy is better otherwise, its the old Avengers with Spidey,Wolverine,Cap,Cage.

Well, the team in New Avengers is pretty much the anti-registration side so it makes sense to put Cap in there in some form.

It also fits Bendis' description of the new Ronin like a glove, as long as the pro-reg side "wins" the Civil War.

A ronin is a masterless samurai and I'm pretty sure that's how Cap would feel about his country if registration goes through.

Meh, Civil War has sucked so far.

Apparently, they're bringing the original Captain Marvel back from the dead for who knows what reason.

Heh CW sucks? What took you so long ;)

Also there is a clue Ronin isnt Cap. Bendis said in the new interview someone asks in the comic " why are we avengers anyway?" Someone answers cause Cap said so.

It sounds like Cap makes the team and leaves them be maybe cause he "dies" or dissapears in CW.

What? In Civil War or Annihilation?

I thought they already had that female Captain Marvel who sucked.

Cap probably left America, or got deported or something. While my suspicions do point me to Ronin, I hope it's not.

Bendis also wants to bring an obscure Super Villian to the level of the Kingpin. Quite interested to see what he'll do with him.

Turn up the brightness on that picture to see where the Captain Marvel rumor originated from.

I don't really care about Captain Marvel either way, but I did like what Peter David did with Genis.

Also, the New Avengers team might not necessarily know that Ronin is Cap.

The Hood is a great mini done by BKV. I read just before i read this in newarama Bendis said:

But what really needs to be is a new idea, for this Kingpin to have a new agenda – a kingpin of all supervillains is a completely different scenario.

nd if you look at that mini-series as kind of the Robert DeNiro chapters in Godfather II, you are seeing the building blocks of how someone could rise up to being the ‘Godfather’ of all supervillains, with this war being the perfect opportunity to take primary advantage of what happened. And because the nature of his powers are so ‘stealthy”, he is in the position to do a lot of damage to people who don’t listen to him …don’t do what he says.

So while all this went on in Civil War, we’re going to see how the Hood rose up from literally a third-tier Marvel villain to someone that everyone in the Marvel Universe are sh*ting their pants over, and did it with almost no trouble from any superheroes because they were all @#$%ing busy.

Its very smart of Bendis to do something like this.

MU really needed new kind of kingpin.

Heh reading his mini was really like seeing the flashback with De Niro as Vito Corleone in Godfather 2 when he rises to the power from the bottom.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with the Hood.

picked up first compilation of hack/slash. its pretty good. i like the art, but it has a really cliche main character. (angsty female badass and large loveable brute sidekick) its actually fun to read, because they make fun of american culture enough. they went to a comic convention, complete with rei ayanami and shinji cosplay in the background. even metal gear solid jokes.

story: angsty girl decides to hunt down the more or less undead slasher type murderers. basically obsessive people with a grudge. shes so incredibly goth it kind of turns me against it but the satire on america is just to easy to enjoy.

red sonja-read a few of these, and im starting to like it more.

scorpion- so my friend calls me up and tells me her boyfriend picks up a pile of comics for her one day (as usual) and she starts reading one. she says that as she read, she noticed that the character looked familier. it looked like me! or so she said. so she shoves a copy in my face and low and behold, there i am. i think you'd have to see me in person to get the full fuji expression similarity, but i kind of agree, she looks like me a little. but i am not a crazy twice orphaned alien with green hair who murdered my boyfriend. ...yet

(but i do like the comic for the most part. not sure where the its going , or i know far too well.)

yay american comics!

Hack and Slash is supposed to become a movie sometime. Cool Stuff

I tought I was the only one reading Red Sonja. I have to say it's really not as good as Darkhorse's Conan but it's an okay read.
