there is a reason why the ps3 runs at 630p, it is becuase they needed to lower the resolution to use the AA and lighting to its full potential. The 360 runs at 720p, however does not have AA or next gen lighting. So if you were to look at both screens side by side, the ps3 would look much brighter, crisper, and clearier than the 360.
I got GTA IV on the 360 and there are some graphics issues I've encountered
There's quite a bit of popup that does occur, and the tunnel that connects Alderney to Algonquin sometimes turns invisible. There was also a mission where I had to get inside a tanker that had people armed to the teeth and I was climbing into the cargo hold and I got shot. I fell through the wall into the cargo hold and the inside of the ship, along with the armed goons was all invisible. This was incredibly frustrating.

I don't think it would be my 360 since it's the Halo edition one, making it pretty young. Have any PS3 GTAIV players noticed any madness like that?

The pop up is mostly the 360's fault, but remember that every GTA game has a knack for producing a lot of bugs and glitches. I think falling through a floor into the blue abyss (don't know if it's blue anymore) has happened to me in every GTA since GTA3.

Just a little heads up if anyones interested. I was at Target the other day and noticed they had a bunch of ps3 games on clearance. Picked up Lair and the Simpsons game for $29 total. I heard theres a patch for lair so you dont have to use the crappy 6-axis controls.
They also had Motorstorm, Nascar, and a bunch of 360 games for $15 and under. So if you live near a Target, might wanna stop by and ask if they have anything like that in your area. Called my brother across the country and the Target in his area also had those games on clearance.
I finally have enough for the 80GB PS3, but where the hell do they sell it? All I see are 40GB models. Damn it, Sony, I need to be able to play PS2 games as well.

Not too sure on this but I htink they may have stopped the shippment of the 80 gig while waiting for the MGS4 bundle which is coming out next month. Like I said not too sure, but I'm positive if you look around you can find one.
I don't wanna wait another month... But maybe it won't be so bad considering they will most likely throw in the Dualshock 3 controller.

Anyone got Haze yet? The reviews say it's dumb but the reviews I've seen talk about the graphics not being too good and how the characters are overdoing the badass stuff, but mention little in terms of gameplay and multiplayer.

its seems like every review doesnt look at the game, but rather looks. No mention of multiplayer, no mention of rebels vs. mantel soldiers...
I settled fro the 40GB PS3, I used the extra money left over to buy GTAIV, so it's not that bad. I also just finished connecting my Mac with the PS3 and it's pretty sweet. All the stuff in my computer is now available on my PS3. I only wish there was a way to do it through iTunes so I could keep all my song playlists, but I still like having all my stuff on the TV.

dood its cuz, teh PS3 sucks. If it was on the x360, it would get a 10 because you didnt have to wait the 10 minutes that was needed for the install.
