Oku started another series recently and the chapter releases varies from bi-weekly to tri-weekly.

It´s pretty slow yeah nut oh so awesome, ican´t wait for the 3 japanese spirit big shots to start some shit.

What is it about? And when will GANTZ be back?

Me-teru no Kimochi or something like that. It's about a withdrawn guy whose father marry a 20-something super-vixxen. Father die, but the girl stays to take care of the guy, who is more or less the same age. Ecchi, borders to hentai. Not worth reading if you ask me.

Gantz is getting slower than Berserk, without being as close as good.

I dont know about that i enjoyed the storyline when Kie died alot more than i have enjoyed the last vol of Berserk.

I dont even read Berserk anymore not that it isnt good its just not as good before i hope to save it and get back to it later, when hopefully the story will as great as before.

Yeah i like how realistic people are in GANTZ despite the SF stuff.


Which is why Kie is one of my fav characters in manga. I mean to see how he was treated in school,bullied by most of the guys. He was such a loser. A punk too, i liked how he grew cause of him having to lead the GANTZ team.


GANTZ at it best was in my top ten manga list, nowhere near Berserk sure but still great. Actually ranked 8 in my list after Death Note

Yeah, GantZ is pretty awesome right now, fucking slow or not, that little frog from the last chapter looked like he came from "Spirited Away", it looked so inocent taking that guy´s shoes.

I dont think people act realistically for most of the cases, they act like R-tards... The author is mixing in some realistic personnalities and situations that exist in the real world, but hes actually showing off original, violent, mad, crazy, perverted events that are actually too unrealistic to happen for my part.
If we were actually thinking and acting like that in our world, babes would want to fuck with me everyday, but I would prefer an ugly chick instead, some crazy dudes would start killing hundreds of people in the streets/schools without being caught, martial artists would be able to beat hundreds of people at the same time bare handed with their main move being to hit people with your back, some nowhere guy/girl would try to stop us from suiciding because we chatted together on the net and he could relate to us... cmon. Bullies would be raping guys along with their teachers and others would have a collection of their victims teeth. etc.

Anyway, I love GANTZ for being unrealistic, because reality is pretty boring. But nothing beats crazy violent action with some SF mixed in a world supposed to be realistic.

After having just read 249 i have to say im disgusted by Osaka team and Reika or whatever that pin up girl is called.

Atleast the red hair guy with glasses getting sick of killing aliens and living like this is understandable. But now how Reika acted like it was not thier buisness to help people, what a great leader she is. If Katou dont revive Kurano soon they are royally screwed.

I have lost track of this manga when I read it, I just read every other chapter so most of the time I'm confused as fuck.

That was......pretty strange, that was totally OC for Reika in my opinion, just because some complete stranger said to them not to help, she does just that.....i think Oku ignored the fact that Reika is emulating her leader skills from Kei for the purposes of the plot of this Arc.

GantZ is constantly changing the rules now by the way, that´s why they are suddently visible to the public and now are in Osaka.

Whats worse is that she thinks is alright to not lead like Kurano would just cause if he was alive he wouldnt be in love with her....




GANTZ better tell why the rules are changing after this mission.

Great chapter. Katou has grown a pair of humongous titanium boys. The fight was smart and good and Oku got to the friking point. That alone was worth it. He still isn't worth losing Kurono for but, that man was out of his mind in this one.

Another good thing is that we have another chapter next week, maybe he´s focusing more on GantZ now that he finished Me Teru.

Funniest aspect of this manga has to be the altered font for black people.

after the last chapter (253) i been getting more and more compelled to see what happens next... plot twist after twist is making for some good entertainment

as for the vamps... im pretty sure they dont realize that they are now a part of the game so they will be screwed once all the gantzers are dead... or maybe gantz will just blow up their heads if they fuck around too much....

other than that i like the new "ultimate weapon" that was introduced... a satellite in space shooting at shit or whatever its pointed at is a pretty awesome and "realistic" type of weapon

anyways... i just hope he ends this mission efficiently and artfully so as to not make me lose faith in this manga.... especially since every mangaka and his brother are milking their stories for as long as they can (Naruto, Berserk, Blade of the immortal (but not so much), eden) <-- those are the only ones i really follow nowadays but i like it when stories END because then there's a sense of closure that im sure we can all appreciate

side note: dont like the direction berserk is going in... im all for gore + storyline but not meaningless violence that doesnt actually develop the story... seems miura got a memo telling him to put in 10+ pages of pure gore in each subsequent chapter... das no cool, mein

This mangaka has four series out. 2 of said series had horrendous endings. Lets hope that isn't a trend.
