well Guts body went under much greater stress using the berserker armor than it ever did before. remember he wasnt limited by anything so his body was working at capacities he never experienced. and the white streak represents a lot more than just the strain his body underwent. it represents a change in his personality and a new phase in his life...like when ishidoro said he looks like a white knight now or something like that

Umm... this is off the topic of how Guts got his white streaks in his hair, but i didnt want to put up a whole new thread for this because i dont know if this was previously posted.
Throughout the Berserk series, there are many untold mysteries that revolve around the history of the God hand. Althought im not sure Mirua will answer all the questions about the God hand and its past, my biggest curiousity is the history between the Skull knight and Zodd. In order to satisfy my thurst for Berserk knowledge i began investigating on King Gaiseric and Nosferatu Zodd. Knowing how Mirua likes to use real history within the Berserk world, with the information i gathered, i pieced it in my mind to form my own senario. However, when searching for Zodd, i couldnt find anything! Maybe its just me but im pretty sure i saw somewhere that Zodd was a mythological god of war. So getting to the point of my post, i was wondering whether its just my imagination or that somewhere i can find info. about Zodd the immortal in myth or any context.

Ask and ye shall recieve. Thanks for not creating a thread, you would have been dissappointed because you need a higher post count to be able to start a thread. It is an enforced learning curve.
Now, on to Zodd:
Wikipedia wrote:Zodd (γΎγγ lit. Zoddo)
Also known as Nosferatu Zodd, or Zodd the Immortal, referring to his apparent immortality. An apostle (a servant of God Hand), who seeks to meet the strongest opponent to battle, one who he has sought after for three centuries through countless battlefields. One of the most powerful apostles known, he now serves under the reincarnated Griffith after losing a duel to his spiritual form in a dream. Zodd first encountered Guts and Griffith in a castle raid, where he defeated them both, but spared them once he realized who Griffith would be. As an apostle, he can transform his human form to a deadlier demonic one; in Zodd's case, his is that of a minotaur having his right horn cut off (as a sign of defeat to Griffith) with retractable bat-like wings. Zodd has a strange relationship with the Skull Knight, who can hold out against Zodd's apostle form, and he constantly engages in battle with him.
For more (or less depending on your poing of view) go here:

Zodd hasn't a historical background as far as I'm concerned. There might be clues to how Miura created Zodd, but for the time being not even the mighty Wikipedia has information about that.

Look, be patient, OK? We try to do our best to supply the fiends with their fix of Berserk, but we also got lives too, yeah? Go to skullknight or something.
I'm just tired of answering 'whre beserk new chap' when we'll just a couple of days overdue. Sheesh, sometimes it pisses me off.

yeah of course, i can wait , I understand that it takes a lot of time to translate the chapter and all and you surely do something else in your life. That's normal. And i'm very greatful to the people who dedicate there time to do that.
The thing is I already have the chapter 264 but i don't understand it cos it's not english.
And i only want to know if someone already posted a simpllified translation of this chapter in the forum.
Thanks anyway

As mentioned above, you can try Skullknight.net as they provide just the english text translation, not the scanlation. If they don't have it, then no one does. We both have our own translators now so there might be subtle differences.

If by subtle difference you mean direct tranlation with horrible grammar, in comparison to superb translation and proper grammar, then I suppose that could be right. Heh, just poking a little fun at our rivals over at SK.net.

We all make mistakes, but I'm glad you found what you wanted. Be sure not to make the same mistake twice

Here another newbie question:
It's said that children growing up become more and more like thier parents. Do you think Guts has become a bit like Gambino ?
It came through my mind seeing the grin of Guts to Serpico after Fernese got possesed. (I believe it had been in volume 17 but I'm not sure about that)
Can you find other similarities or are they completly different ?
I'm asking you because you seem to have a lot more knowledge about beserk and its characters than me.

by MrFelony
well at the moment i would say that they aren't all that similar...well there are certain things that one could say mirror each other. Guts and Gambino both blame someone for taking away their loved one/s, both were crippled, both sought/are seeking revenge on the one who took away their loved one. but those are all stretches really...

by xeno
I cant think of other things they have in common so I guess you are right about that. Could also be because of the less information we got on Gabino and his behavior to other people around him.
Anyway ... thanks for the reply
