Reading JoJo´s bizarre adventures.

Have read all thats scanlated of steelballrun and the whole of the first series.
gonna finish series two later today.

Its all good. even tho you really feel that its a shounen fighting manga.
People keep pulling bizarre techniques out their asses all the time to get the upper hand.
But thats kinda the point of the manga :P

I've been reading High School of the dead recently. One thing I must say I've always been a fan of these "dawn of the dead" type storyline. I find it interesting how some find a way to go on and some find a way to give up.

Its more than stupididity really, its total retardness, the series lack of seriousness and maturity.

Woooo Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Last time I checked that was underlining theme of all zombie themed stories. With the exception of the comic "The Walking Dead". But really thats just how these things go. I never said they were good just that I like them.

The books are even slower than the scans if they even ever come out after vol 12.

i read a book or two of Mai, psychic girl when i stumbled on it at the old library, and while i do like that artist (SANCTUARY was good i thought) it was more or less a waste of time...

Eden is an amazing manga, it just got started being released in the US, right? i never got through the whole thing, kinda fell into it, so i need to read more of the middle, because i accidently skipped it.

and Jiro Matsumoto is fucking amazing. i finished uncivilized planet about a month or so ago, and it was very good. im currently trying to follow his other works (omanga) but i doubt they will be published in the US for a while.

i am picking up Last Order again, and it is getting better i think.

shojo comics that are good and/or popular: NANA, honey and clover, cat street, loveless, Kare first love, POWER!, Kimi wa Pet ("tramps like us", eng. version) and pheromomania syndrome is a funny short shojo. hope that helps.

The story ends in vol 12 and i am stuck at vol 10.

Its annoying cause its a good sci fi manga and i want to finish it and i can get vol 12 for a cheap price in comic shop.

Sadly they have only vol 12.

parasyte is AMAZING. the only was i got it was from the library. i remember reading it in the old tokyopop magazine where they published pocket mix of sailormoon, and had ice blade, and magic knights rayerth in there as well. good times... (before they sold out). it is one of my fav. comics to date.

i started ES (Eternal Sabbath) and its not as good as i had thought initially. the story is kinda Akira and..well all those mind reading comics put together. it is good, and fuyumi soryu is a great artist and writer, but i think it thinks its more epic than it really is. not too fond of any of the characters yet either.

Yes it is, i started reading it out of the blue in my local store and thought it was nothing special, the next day i read the second volume and started to realize how awesome this book was.

Besides having a great story and characters, this is one of the few mangas i´ve read with an actual realistic message for the readers.

I just read Digimortal from Nihei TSUTOMU, and I must say it was better than BLAME and Noise.

wiki: Digimortal is a one-shot cyberpunk manga by Tsutomu Nihei. Digimortal, A mysterious armored mercenary on salary to a secret organization, contracts to kill one of the leaders of a new technocratic Inquisition that is terrorizing the public.

his stuff is hard to really understand (story wise), even if it has the best translator sometimes. i love it, but they all seem to have the same plot (Biomega, BLAME..) but this sounds different and fun, i'd like to check it out!

also, NOISE is a very good one of his comics, but im, again, not sure about how much the story makes sense. some kind of bioweapon that mustates things into monsters, there is a mercenary of some kind..bug guns, small guns, lots of GUTS! yay!

no kidding about parasyte, it is amazing. one day, i wanna cosplay shin and make a lefty! one day... a real tribute!

well Digimortal is actually a lot easier to understand, but then again it is still a oneshot... If you are a fan of Nihei, you must try this one out.

Btw, Nihei also has a oneshot manga called Snikt!, with Wolverine as the main character. Too bad I havent been able to download this one yet...

Snikt was kinda cool. It really mixes The kind of story Nihei writes with the Wolverine character. But I tought it lacked a bit of depth. But an enjoyable read obvisouly, with beautiful art.

Snikt wasnt a one-shot.
It was over 100 pages in 5 chapters.

Digimortal wasnt really a one-shot either as it was in two chapters.

Ok, you might be right about Snikt, I havent read that one so I dont really know.
But cmon, you cant really call a two chapters story like Digimortal with a total of 46 pages (including covers and credits) a manga. I mean Berserk chapter one had 60 pages or more...

im not saying its alot. but one-shots are supposed to be just one chapter.

altho i do guess digimortal could be a one-shot split in two so it could be published during two months.
