I know, I know, I meant the look and feel. Not the broke ass hit box problems, and teh crazy ass fire ball whoring. I also agree that the sounds and backgrounds were piss poor. But it had some cool sprites, and like you said, the main reason that it was not good was because it was rushed to all high hell. I am not too worried about it, but if it sucks, oh well.Femto wrote:PS: It's not just the brokenness that makes SVC a terrible game, it's the horrible hitboxes, the fireball whoring, the lame sound effects, the empty backgrounds, heck, the whole engine in general makes it a piss-poor fighting game. The game has "rushed" written all over it, easily the worst post-SNK game so far.
Are you implying that SFIII 3rd Strike does not look improved? Not only does 3rd Strike look 100 times better than SFII hyper fuck edition or what ever, it is probably the best looking 2D fighter on the planet. Not only that, but there is a ton of fighting engine improvements and changes compared to SFII.TheDarkness wrote:well i hope this new street fighter game will get one hell of a graphics overhaul compared to the last ones because that looks like crap.. not a thing improved from the original Street Fighter games...
Word. I love the look of SFIII 3rd Strike, and the engine is quite a bit better than SFII.Ayanami wrote:Are you implying that SFIII 3rd Strike does not look improved? And after seeing those EVO results, Femto, do you know if Daigo participated this year? I should think if he did he would have at least made it into the top 8.I should that he was at least there, and maybe didn't participate in SFIII.
I don't know if I'd call SFIII the best looking fighter ever, but for a 2-D fighter it is quite good looking. The only one I could think that would graphically look better might be Guilty Gear XX, and that is just a matter of opinion.TheDarkness wrote:if that is the best looking 2d fighter in the world then i am curious as to what you think is the second best and what is the worst. In terms of graphics there are older games that look far better.... search for rise of the robots.
I believe Femto covered this before. GGXX looks like shit compared to SFIII. Look at the animation closely on the characters and you shall see. What makes GGXX so pretty to people is the high res animation and all the pretty flashes and shit.Tempest wrote:I don't know if I'd call SFIII the best looking fighter ever, but for a 2-D fighter it is quite good looking. HAHAHAHAHAHHA!DarkenRahlX wrote:last blade and vampire savior look like shit to me when compared t SFIII or GGX.
I've been wondering, what has GGXX done to you? You express so much hate and try to point out the smallest detail. Does slower animation in a sprite hinder your ability to enjoy a game?Femto wrote:HAHAHAHAHAHHA!DarkenRahlX wrote:last blade and vampire savior look like shit to me when compared t SFIII or GGX.
I'm sorry, I know I said we should stay out of each other's ways, but I can't help it. You really are fucking retarded and don't know shit of the things you're talking about.
Last Blade better than Guilty Gear? Why? Because it has twice the resolution? That's fucking laughable. Saying that Last Blade or Vampire Savior look like shit next to GGX is the talk of idiots. 3rd Strike maybe, and a big maybe here, but GGX has worse animation than fucking KOF. MOTW fucking destroys GGX, and the sprites are even smalller than the KOF ones.
Then again, saying that Robert's new animations in NGBC kick ass explaing how much you know about this stuff.

taht is why i said that you should check their forum for rumors or even confirmed things (if there are such things)DON'T SCREW THIS UP CAPCOM!!!
At the San Diego Comic Convention, Udon Comics confirmed something is in the works for the next generation of street fighter. Here's what some people who attended the ultimate street fighter panel had to say.
"I actually attended that panel, so I can confirm what he said is true. It's more like Udon rep answered the question (saying something is in the works), then Capcom USA rep followed up on it, saying Capcom has not forgotten its fans and is working on something. At the end of panel, Udon rep said if you have interesting ideas (i.e. fighting system, not storyline or anything non-technical) for the next SF game, post your ideas on Shoryuken.com."
Anyone who really... REALLY... follows the SF series know that this game has been in the works for a long long time. around the time SF3: 3rd strike was released there was talks that the next street fighter wont be released until 2007 cause of some goofy timeline capcom uses for their games (which explains the constant spin offs of the 90's between SF2 and SF 3).
...
I really hope capcom doesnt screw this up
