well i took my AP Calculus BC exam today. it was bloody hard, but easier than i expected. worse case scenario is I get a 3. Most probable case scenario is I get a 4. the very unlikely but still possible scenario is that I get a 5. 5 is only if like atleast 45 of the 50 multi-choice questions i answered were correct, and the 3 long answer questions that i completed get most of the credit, and the small stuff i did on the other 3 long answer questions gives me credit too.

so a lot is based on pure luck for a 5, but ill prolly get a 4

Devil_Dante I basically don't start til 13:30 every day of the week. But if you see a PM just add 12 hours.

Maybe I should hve studied more for the only AP test I took. Oh well. I took pretty much all AP classes my senior and junior year, but only took one AP test. Figured there was no point in me spending the money if I would only get a 3 at the most, some probably only 2s or something, and the colleges I wanted to go to didn't accept that. I wish I coudl start studying three days in advance for something, I have trouble starting to study 24 hours before a test. :stupid:

verrrry interesting.
Up here, in grade 12, there are several "levels" of courses you can take. U level courses are university preparation (I've actually noticed that most of my first year was review, which makes me question where my money is going but oh well), M level is for college preparation (there is a distinction here that university is theoretical whereas college is practical basically you get a degree in university, but only certification in college). And there's a third basic level, I don't know what it is anymore but it's for people who were geared towards getting a job out of high school.

Then again, we don't have SATs or anything up here. Admissions is based on grades and application documentation...

Oh and don't feel bad about not being able to study. I had like 3 or 4 days in between exams and I still couldn't even touch my notes until the day before the exam. haha

I wish we didn't have SATs they are the most annoying thing in the world. I hate standardized testing. Multiple choice is the work of the devil. Give me essay or long answer questions and I am set.

I am just too lazy. High school spoiled me. I never opened a book, and I got by, but college is not the same. I should have gone to an easy school and chose some liberal arts major. Life would be so much easier then. Instead I choose a hard school and a real major. :stupid:

Dont the statistics say that like reading books helps your vocabulary for the SAT's?

I do know statistics show that SATs actually have very little bearing on knowledge and intelilgence or even how you will do in college. Also depending on what you want to do you don't need vocabulary. I did shitty as hell on vocabulary and I still got into Georgia Tech which is one of the top schools in the nation, but I did well on the math, and it is an engineering school so I think that might have something to do with it. But depending on what you do you may or may not need to do overly well on the vocabulary.

In middle school i was set on becoming a mechanical engineer. But now im not too sure. I mean I LOVE history and governmet classes. I like english fairly well too and the only science I like is probably bio. And im always up for computer courses.

If you do do something in computers Computer Science is less math intensive than Computer Engineering, trust me I made the wrong choice. Computer Engineering is mostly Electrical Engineering with a specialty in computers, and EE is alot of math. :stupid:

Well I think that is the only advice I have, but if you like history and government so much you could do something with those, though not sure what you do with a history degree besides coach highschool football (more of a joke making fun of the fact that many highschools including my first one that every history teacher is a football coach, except for one who was the daughter of a coach. :wtf: )

Its your choice.

There hasn't been a class since 8th or 9th grade that I haven't fallen asleep in. I eventually just stopped attending them, my bed was more comfortable than a desk. Granted I didn't sleep in my CS class in highschool but that is because we sat in front of our computers and coded. Also physics I generally attended and stayed awake in, but I guess physics I liked, and was terrified of the teacher. He seemed to have all the power.

Generally I'm interested in science classes and won't fall asleep. But history is another story. Global history was alright, but god damn American history is fucking boring. My history teacher knocks me in and the rest of the class out in about 5 minutes. He's one of those teachers that talks in a monotone. Combine that with talks about Alexander Hamilton and you're out.

I always hated teachers who wouldn't let you sleep, it was so annoying, but it did lead to me perfecting my sleeping without them noticing. Even looked like I was taking notes.

There was one teacher I had that hated when people fell asleep, but was practically the cause for it. He had a really deep voice, it sounds a lot like Brad Garret from Everybody Loves Raymond, the guy who plays Ray's brother. Sound's like him and talks a lot. And when he plays like shows or videos to the class, he'd stop them and pretty much repeat what the video said.

Video: "The main cause for the civil war was not slavery as many people think, but tarriffs on imports causing South Carolina to leave the Union"
Teacher: *stops video* "Yeah, the main cause of the war wasn't really slavery like lots of people think, but the tarriffs placed on imports"

Ugh. I must have fallen asleep in that class like four or five times. He didn't mind it from me too much because I did really well in the class

I wish I could fall asleep in my spanish class.. but damn, my spanish teacher is a beast. That guy won't leave you alone. He would ask you a question and follow it with 15 more. Yea, I pretty much hate him.

The worst is when they ask a question then call on you waking you up, after asking the question. You just sit there clueless, or ask what was the question again.
