This is obviously an opinion thread, not a fact thread so any opinions based on what's better, asian movies or hollywood is irrelevant. You guys have different tastes, just leave it at that :P

Dang its alright for a little bit of arguing here and there.... sheesh.

I agree, there's always room for arguing but where would you go with this conversation? Comparing a one line actor to people who can actually do martial arts and not just have the director make him look tough, now that's just silly. I love Arnold for his incredibly stupid but funny one liners but if I want real action, I look to martial arts.

lol well then perhaps he shouldve always pursued a political career instead of an acting one. he indeed has funny one-liners, but hes really been striking out with his most recent movies

If we started a thread on best one liners in movies, Arnold would have the most and probably the best. That's why I love using the Arnold soundboard, you can create some funny convos with those and use them in prank calls like some people already have.

I think Bruce Campbell would. You know from like Army of Darkness and Evil Dead.

What I hate is when people compare asian and other foreign films to Hollywood flicks. 'Oh, this movie is a ripoff from that famous hollywood film' really pisses me off when they don't realise that the foundation of hollywood films is based on concepts taken from foreign films. Hollywood films is put in one criteria and foreign films the other. You can't compare the fucking films!!! It's like "'Titanic' or 'Three Colours: Red White Blue' is better?" You don't see people say 'oh that part's taken from the french film...'

In too many foreign film reviews I see people comparing it to Hollywood films. Firstly, foreign films have a quarter of Hollywood's budget. It can actually create better shit with the lesser amount of cash.

lately portuguese cinema has been really increasing it's quality
when i see that burst i think that hollywood just runed out of ideas, or maybe the foreign people that provided the scripts for them just started to work elsewhere

actually a lot of people are trying to amend the constitution so that non native born citizens can become president. Most of those people are supporters of Arnold.

1. A Clockwork Orange

Rest in no particular order:
American History X
Goodfellas
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Pulp Fiction
Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Clerks

This is hard, only 7. So hard. I know I am forgetting some very key films. Well that is what I am going with now. Goint to probably regret it in the morning. I know I am leaving out some great ones.

Yeah, I beleive they should show American History X while you are in school to help end racism. The curb creaming scene is so messed up. I have seen the movie a good half a dozen or more times, and probably that scene more and I still cringe watching it.

I also agree with you about the Requium for a Dream as a way to get kids not to do drugs. Great movie. When I watch it , I start to feel like I need to call home and apologize to my family for all the stupid shit I have done in my life.

I did watch American History x in school. In summer school that is. Im pretty sure my teacher was a stoner. We watched like: Not Another Teen Movie, American History X, a bootleg version of Farenhiet 9/11

Now that is funny. Especially watching not another teen movie. It couldn't have less to do with education.
